Such a long text... I hope they release it in parts or something... Kinda reminds me of the bleach data book souls situation. I just hope both gets done someday.

She halved her life-span with the Shinigami Eye Deal two times. That's probably the cause. I was actually kind of expecting her to die during the story because of the Eye Deal, at some crucial point where Raito would need her. That would've been pretty ironic.

But it's also possible (maybe even more likely) that she died of grief because Raito died. Remu figured that (just before she killed L for him), she would never kill Raito because Misa would almost certainly die too.
