Thread: DEATH NOTE English Dub - Lights's voice SUCKS!!!

Has anyone else seen the english dubbed DEATH NOTE trailer yet?

Well if you have not, go to the Viz DEATH NOTE site and click on the 3rd trailer and find out how good or bad the english dubbing is.

kira's voice sounds a bit whiny. I don't like it. Viz messed up again. i'm not sure on the other voices for they only did a trailer with light's voice in it.

Haha yeah he sounds pretty shitty. But that's classic. I see this download option has finally taken off though, for the first four eps. $2 a pop. That's not bad.

Never watch Anime dubbed. Original sound is the only way to go.

You can't really do anything while you watch it because you need to read the subs, but that's the prize you have to pay

I really hope they change the dub around come the primere. normally I'm a supporter of dubs, but honestly they really got lights voice all wrong. It's not how I've actually pictured it in my head.

I agree but i find that most times dub don't do justice to the japanese voices or how i picture it. I mean this one light sounds like a " super hero " voice you know a little over the top with himself and just a bit to feminine for my taste.

i think all english dubs suck the japanese voices are always much better does any1 dissagree with me

only better voice ever is ed from FMA imo

Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing I think still hold the crown for the best dubs. With Old school Robotech right behind.

Ugh.....terrible.

I'd say the only good dubs that I know of are Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.
