whats so good about this manga everyone loves it

he writes in a book and someone dies thats the lameist plot ever

Because there's lots of logic in it.

Well its more than just a person writing names down killing people. Its more about finding out whether or not he'll get caught and what will happen when he does, or if he succeeds and creates his Utopia then what will happen? Well at least thats what i think. =]

Cuz its just so suspenseful and intresting you can't wait to see wat happens next

its the mind games they play thats interesting.

The best part of this manga is not the fantasy shinigami death note idea, but the detective cat and mouse games the main character and the authorities play. Along the way the manga also poses some interesting moral questions.

well.. if you are that curious about the manga, why don't you try and read a few chapters.. the mind games are just awesome!! attack and counter-attack.. it's genius..

I find this question stupid, I mean you can ask the same question about any manga/anime there is.

Berserk: What is so good about a guy swinging a huge sword around
Bleach: What is so good about a group of spirits killing bad spirits.
Gantz: What is so good about a group of zombies going out and killing alliens
Battle Royale: What is so good about a bunch of kids killing each other

PS: This is supposed to be sarcastic, I like every manga mentioned in my post, Berserk, Gantz and Battle Royale are my favourites.
