Thread: Why doesn't the guy do slightly more interesting methods of death?

I mean cmon. You have the power to kill a person in any way you choose.

Me personally I would have a bit more imagination. Like drowning in porridge, or fatal papercut,

Well, when the public realizes the fact that the most recent hundred deaths all made it to the Darwin Awards, it becomes painfully apparent that theres some invisible hand guiding these deaths. And, Light likes security over fun.

Writing long and stupid deaths are a waste of space on the Death Note, Kira wanted to cleansen the world, he needed all that space to put more names in.

Well for one Light wanted the world to notice that someone is on the side of justice and cleaning off the bad people, that's why he only used heart attack for most cases.

Light also diddnt want to give away that he could kill people besides heart-attacks, so if someone close to him were to die by say, illness, it wouldnt be as suspicious.

It's said in one of the rules that a Death Note has no end in empty pages. You can write as many names as you wish without running out of Space.

Lights kills this way to make sure that people know there is this "god", who kills the "evil" guys. It also makes it easier to hide a murder he doesn't want to be recogniced.
