Thread: What is Light doing the entire Near arc?

Is it just me? or is Light sitting on the computer doing nothing for 30 chapters? When Light was not talking to Near, or Takeda, What is he doing? You just always see him glancing behind him at the other members of the NPA thinking and suspecting him to be Kira, or staring at the computer screen thinking to himself. You would think the other members would see what he is doing if they suspected him to be Kira.

But no, they just like to look at the back of Light's head and watch him stare at the computer monitor for weeks. If anybody has the answer to this, do tell.

He was pretending to be the real 'L' until he was found out. After that he was kinda trying to find out who Near was with a bunch of stuff in between.

Light is doing massive quantities of cocaine.

No, seriously, he's sitting on his ass gradually growing more and more retarded as each chapter passes.

My theory is, he is staring at the monitor too long, and the electrons are shooting into his eyeballs and going through his skull slowly causing blindness and the radiation causes him to grow 1 more chromosome on the 21st gene causing him to have down syndrome.

That is my theory as to why he got retarded.

Actually he couldn't take the thought of someone not Asian being smarter than him. His pride as an Asian was destroyed and he slowly spiraled down into despair and eventually death.
