The Departed made my friends and I think of Death Note.

The police are trying to bust a criminal organization (led by Jack Nicholson) and put a man undercover to infiltrate them (Leonardo DiCaprio). Meanwhile, there is a rat in the police force working his way up (Matt Damon). Both sides eventually figure out there is a rat among them and both rats try and figure out who the other is to protect themselves, without having a clue as to what they look like. So I just kept thinking of L vs Light.

Boondock saints def has that sense of 'cleansing the world' to it. But then again, so does anything about vigilantes like that.

NICE, I just saw infernal affairs cause I read this yesterday, it really was awesome!!!
anyway, I found out that there is also part 2, but I dont want it to turn out like Azumi, in which the first was directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, and then some bastards made crap the second and thirs parts.

Yeah I haven't seen the second part, or the third (there are 3). But apparently they're not bad.
