Who's smartest ?

i would say it's between raito and L...

though L died because of raito, had he been in raito's place instead i am sure he would have been on par with raito.

Raito is highly inteligent, but he could not resist killing Lind L tailor... he should have looked at the newsapre or something and killed someone else at the same time as the airing....

L is highly inteligent, but he should not have gone anywhere near raito... raito would suspect him for being L anyway for being at the uni, but he could have at least had one of those masks which look very realistic on, meaning he would still have his original face, but raito doesn't realise it.

I think it is between Mello and Near...
Not much to say about Near....but he got the case closed anyway... But even though you don't see much behind mello's head, I still think he is smart because he is realistic...

L, because he managed to die b4 the series became sh*t

I thought most people thought the series went crap because he died... Also, what if there were people who still had to get to that part...hm?

I think the end sucks cuz they are trying too hard to think what he thinks I'm thinking that he's thinking and so on... L died before the things with him got to that point... that's why I'm saying this

hmm...as everyone says.why doesn't he just get a gun of his own in there...
or better yet, to shove his inteligence up, look at it from a third person perspective, and have raito get mikami find out everyones names, write them down, don't mention anything to/about mikami, wait at least a minute, realise they aren't dead, mikami will flee, raito and mikami contact eachother again, see what went wrong, mikami tell light all the names, and raito write them in his own book....viola! everyone is dead, kira lives on....

i say near/mello are out of the picture because it took the combined efforts of the two to close the case on raito.

raito knew that he had an advantage over near, he became overzealous.

had he have been on guard like he was against L, kira could have won

L, without a doubt. Mainly because, throughout the course of the sotry, EVERYONE ELSE had to rely on information gathered by L to accomplish their own ends.

L kicks (kicked) ass. Raito just didn't play fair.
