    Default Just A Thought

I just want to clear a few things up which I don't quite get. When Takada was abducted, Light wrote on his hidden Death Note that she will die by burning herself and everything else on 25th Jan 2.32pm. Then later it is explained that Mikami also wrote on the real notebook, after the news of her abduction, that Takada will suicide by burning at 26th Jan 2.33pm. Question:

    1. Does that mean that the news about her abduction was not complete in that Mikami only knew that she was abducted but not set ablazed yet?

    2. Is the one minute difference of any significance?

"Kiyomi takada, suicide by burning herself, 26th of Febuary, 2:33pm"
"Memo: Kiyomi takada suicide, Jan. 25 2010 P.M 2:32, Burn all her belongings and her writings and herself to death"

    1. Yes it means that he didnt know she had killed herself because of raito just yet which lead to him writing down takadas name and screwing raito out of his victory

    2. Not really cause raito would have killed her first since it only takes 40 seconds to kill someone meaning after one minute when mikami wrote down her name she would have already have either been burning or dead, meaning its most likely concidence that it was one minute after raitos
Sherlock Holmes and Matthew Watson were on a camping and hiking trip. They had gone to bed and were lying there looking up at the sky. Holmes said, "Watson, look up. What do you see? "Well, I see thousands of stars." And what does that mean to you?" "Well, I guess it means we will have another nice day tomorrow. What does it mean to you, Holmes?" "To me, it means someone has stolen our tent".

The event signified that, even though Mikami is a screw-up idiot for not following directions, he was incredibely intelligent and knew what to do during a specific scenario.

Hmm, logically a time period of 24 hours should have been long enough for a news updates on Takada's case on her being dead. In this case where Mikami didn't even know about her death seems illogical to me in the sense that the news should have covered the story during the time period since Takada is so popular. I thought that Light's plan surpassed Near's and for the author to make Mikami slipped because of not knowing that she was dead seems to me like an easy escape to the plot so that Near could counter him. If the incident had happened on the 26th, with Light killing her and then with initial news of her abduction, Mikami going to the bank and wrote her name down on the same day would have been more convincing. But with a 24 hour gap and not knowing nuts doesn't go well with me.

It all happened in one day, Mikami most likely heard that she was abucted on the news but didnt hear anything else other then that and figured that raito couldnt do anything so he grabbed the real note book and wrote down her name and takadas death happened suddenly the news wouldnt have traveled fast enough for him to know that raito had killed her so he wouldnt have to lift a finger and when you look at the times of the death he was one minute after raito meaning that he was truely unaware of everything that raito did.

amazing how mikami's screw up costed raito his victory. it was out of character for raito though..he usually had a backup plan for every plan and anticipated every possible outcome, he became overzealous and got fucked in the end.
