Thoughts about the death note world itself (not major spoilers)
Well I've been thinking about the death note world itself and I come into a crappy conclusion, hopefully someone can make a better explanation.
You see, since a shinigami eyes can see someone's death period, that means everytime someone is born, their life is already fated? Cuz unless that person is killed by death note, he will definitely live till that death date, because if he is to be killed (not thru death note) by someone else, it would have been another date instead of that.
So, what all raito did, and everything are all but some stuff already planned? The world feels so flawed now with a fixed death date set on everyone...
Raito wasn't mean to die that way, that's what dissapointed Ryuuk: he expected a better move from Raito... and think about this: he saw Raito's lifespan, wich means that the deception was because he knew Raito would manage to get his way even if he didn't ask for Ryuuk's intervention.
Ryuuk had knew from long before that Raito was going to live longer than that... he had the eyes after all.
Not that I think that really addresses the point of depthcharge's post, but the thing with Raito is that he was meant to live on for a while, but in captivity, since he was about to be arrested. Rather than stick around and watch him rot away, Ryuuk decided to finish him off there and then.
You really put alot of thought into this huh?
