There's a rumour going around 2chan that this one's due to plagiarization charges. (There's a picture of an image from an Obata series, and, well, it's got the same hand as Madaro. In the same pose.) Spoilers say there's a note in the recent chapter where Hoshino says that she'll continue to draw - and since we haven't seen sketchy art recently, this could be the reason. >_>

I actually saw that one, which frankly has some merit but in this day and age, i personally don´t care much about.

In the end it´s just a fucking hand and i fucking hope she doesn´t quit because of this, it wouldn't be the first time a manga series ended because of accusations like this.

The only good thing about this hiatus is, that it'll give whatever some time to catch up with their hq releases. At least a bit (they are like 30 chapters behind).

Really? Fuuuuck. Well at least this time there's enough chapters out there to finally release a volume.

I think it was posted on Mangahelpers (regular chat thread?) and in the Bookman Agony thread of D.Gray-Divinity. Oh, and 2chan.

It's not that the hand is a big deal to us, and obviously Hoshino wouldn't want to quit - but this is Japan, and scandals are a Big Fucking Deal. She could be in very deep shit for this. Then again, she could get off - DGM is a moneymaker for Shueisha, and the only other time a manga has been cancelled to my knowledge, it ripped off Slam Dunk... way, way more than one similar hand. So this could just be a suspension to tell her to smarten up, so that everyone forgets, or to take care of the situation.

The hand at least, is obvious that she ripped it off but the rest of the accusations are overblown, dramatic bullshit.

It´s standard shit that you often see in comic books in general.
