Thread: Hoshino Sick Yet Again; DGM on Hiatus

No date set for her return. According to a page someone found on Ritual(?), it seems to be intestinal problems... Poor woman. Anyway, that's why we have no chapter last week, this week, or probably for quite a bit of time. Just in case anyone hadn't heard this news yet.

On the bright side, the fact that all this can happen and DGM isn't getting cancelled means we probably don't have to worry about that in the future...

And I hope this manga isn´t going to turn to another HxH xDD

Yeah... although the HxH situation would be better than DGM being cancelled! I don't think we have anything to worry about with regards to DGM becoming HxH; if Hoshino's sick, she can't draw at all for a period of time - but then presumably she'll get better and go back to a normal schedule (unless she needs breaks to recover, to avoid pushing herself). Situation seems very different.

Well I actually don´t quite know why the autor of HxH takes such long breaks xD
But you´re right - better to have something HxH like than nothing...

But as long as it isn´t thaaaaat bad she´ll recover and then she´ll continue writing DGM ^^

I'm sure she'll still use this time to think about the manga. Even if she can't release a chapter for a while due to her sickness, she'll think about future plotlines, character development, designs etc. She could even be drawing. No qulity stuff but sketches and storyboards could be possible.

Man, this is a pain. Sucks for her to be sick, of course, but she seems to keep doing it!

Hopefully she will keep up thinking and storyboarding and even writing.... I was in hospital a couple of months ago for intestinal problems, and I just got plain bored. It's not like I was writhing in agony the entire time. If I was partway through writing a series, it would be the perfect opportunity to focus, I would think.

Yup, that's probably exactly what she'll be doing - which means we might get to avoid the data-collection breaks once she returns (for a while). I can't recall her taking that many after the last one (the five weeks in 2007), actually; things went really well after that.

(You should, Urameshi-sama! It's a great series. But of course Digi would say that.)

Pity she had to stop in such an arc, though... :3

^Oh, I've added the manga to my reading list. All I need to do now is DL the volumes over the weekend and save it for a busy time when I'm in the mood for a distraction (that's how I've been going through manga lately).

That's great! =) It's really gotten so awesome, even though DGM still seems fairly early on in its development...
