Just as there was no guarantee that Cross is there. Yet, teh presious exorcists were sent there. Almost all of those available.

Dangerous? lol, whats the reason to have great warriors take care of weak enemies? Of course its dangerous, thats exactly why best of teh best shoudl ahve been sent there. This disadvantage was not a problem when exorcists were to be sent though.
As i said, Akuma would be left to exorcists which were to escort Crow.
Apparently, not. They died to easily....
Well, and there's the transporation issue; how would they get there in time? Perhaps some had been dispatched... or maybe some were the sailors that died... :3
Order is too wealthy to not be able to buy a train ticket. Or a whole train for teh matter.
2) Again, probably the transportation issue; it's quite possible/likely that the Exorcists were already in the field. We also don't know that they weren't sent; the Noah killed... what, a hundred and fifty Order members, not all of which were Exorcists? Just because they didn't go with the Cross team (who had been dispatched, had a team of FOUR - later five - Exorcists, had no idea where they were going...) didn't meant they weren't with the others and got killed. As for why they weren't with Kanda, that team *was* in an akuma nest at the beginning where Crow would not be.
If Crow members were among those killed by Noah it would mean only one thing - they are too weak to oppose Noah. Meaning, its not their primary job.
Having a force and not using it is at the very least strange.
Or maybe the Order just didn't want to send any non-Exorcists on the mission for whatever reason (stealth? to prevent Exorcists from getting suspicious?). Who knows.
Torture for sure. And i didn't think about taking care of run away exorcists, good thought!
It really was just a random thought. =P We do know for certain that they're "Central's special combat unit" (from 166), very elite fighters, and that Komui doesn't trust Central in part because of them (what?). With the reference to 'interrogation'... that seems to imply torture, but that can't be their only role. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if they did have a role in killing Noah - or capturing them and torturing them for information. That could also apply to supporters of the Earl. However, they definitely are involved with Exorcists too, now that I think about it, and possibly restraining and killing rogue ones. After all, they were present in that flashback in 137 when Lenalee tried to run away! (No wonder she couldn't escape if they used those binding spells on her!)
