Thread: Chapter 174 Discussion - Even more G! Allen in a G suit!

I actually really enjoyed this chapter. There was a bit of plot (Allen finding out Link is part of Crow and Kanda describing that), and although G sounds remarkably like the ghost girl minus the stuffy nose, the comments were decently funny. Allen looked good, Link looked good, fighting was badass, Tim eating the crown was the highlight, and most of all...

I hope so. I much rather have more info on the whole 14th deal and about Cross. However, these couple of chapters were good for some fun.

Yeah, this chapter was good; and yeah, it does have some connection to teh main plot.

Hopefully its just one chapter left for this arc though. Darkness shall emerge and devour the whole DGM cast~~~

Have any of you guys noticed.
It looked like Katsura Hoshino is getting lazy with her drawings.
Starting at page 14 it looks like she just wanted to get it over with and took no time whatsoever.
The quality looks awful bad but, the chapter was good. :]

We've had the drop in quality before... must be due to time constraints, I guess. It always gets patched up for the volume release, though.

Dunno, i did not really notice that decline of quality in art you are speaking about. If it is so... well, no wonder. Hopefully she just wants to finish this arc fast and restart the real business.

Link is surely a cool fighter. Although whats with that japanese spell.... I doubt he is from Japan or even has access to Japanese magical knowlegde, considering the relationship of Japan and the rest of the world before 1848. Not to mention that Earl has ocupated Japan for a long time and hardly any humans can escape that place.... I wonder about Kanda's past here. It might be really inteesting if we get to know about Earls Japan...

The chapter wasn´t bad.And Link is an able fighter...(that´s what Allen forgot lol).
And the ghost was just hilarious when Allen "stabbed" it xDD

Yeah, that moment was funny. And whats more funny is that i really did make ghost change body, even though his sword could do no harm to it anyways.

The art decline is in just one page. Hoshino's been sick and injured in the past, and she just got back to drawing 17-page chapters (from 15); one sketchy art page is not gonna bug me. It's probably not laziness but one of the reasons she's had to take breaks in the past.

The spell... Is it Japanese or is that just the name? (Lenalee and Lavi both have "Japanese" attack names, probably for the sake of Japanese readers.) Who knows what's up with Crow, though, and why they have such abilities. Are those spells the result of magic or science?

But even so, I always thought that as soon as this arc started, the quality of her
drawing was decreased. Maybe it's because it's not really an important arc.
