Thread: Chapter 173 Discussion - More G!

I didn't mind this chapter as much as the last one. Yes, it's still a crack arc, but Cross's message (in full) was a nice addition to the chapter. I thought it was interesting how the image showed Allen with the "mask of Mana" (and in his clothes, too?!); let's hope Allen takes that advice and becomes his own person. The casual speech is a nice first step (even if I miss it a little).

Otherwise, it's just crazy stuff - I find G a little irritating; almost overpowered... unless it's Maria. It's just too much like her ability. Let's hope this is wrapped up soon, although I admit I'm looking forward to seeing possessed!Link. Again, though, just like the zombie arc! Emilia looks like the ghost girl, and now this?!

Oh well,there´s prolly an Innocence which can take control of other persons...If there´s a user they just have to find him and take him out...
The thing with the message is good to know...and now I really don´t think Cross is dead...dunno xD

^I think its not an Innocence that "controls other people" but its an Innocence that transfers the consciousness of the original "G" to other people. (Allen would have a really GOOD time smacking link around xD)

On the Maria note, who do you guys think would inherit her?

That sounds about right, although there needs to be limitations on that (and even then we've seen two similar abilities). It can't be Maria's, because the person doesn't know what they're doing whereas Carte Garde just controls the actions... yet...

I don't think Maria's Innocence is going anywhere. If Cross is dead, she's probably gone for good too.

Man DGM's been having this random arcs...Wish they would focus more on the main story instead of going on a tangent like this. First it was the zombie arc and now this....they should just take a break if they're having trouble coming up with ideas or just stalling for the anime version

Don't we all? At least the Cross-conversation helped add a little of the plot into this arc. >_>;; Otherwise, I don't think it's that Hoshino doesn't have ideas... maybe there's editor pressure or something. Heck, maybe this will end up meaning something at the end(?), but I doubt it. Ick.

I wanna know what the abilities of the 14th are. I think the next major arc will focus on those.

Hmm... If it isn't this, it'll probably be about Kanda; Hoshino said she wanted to reveal his past this year, and we have recently gotten some information on him (plus Kanda's been appearing in chapters - shock!). The 14th will probably be a mystery for a little while longer, although maybe we'll get bits and pieces on him from the Earl or Allen or something.

^ Well,Kanda´s past is going to be interesting for sure ( I hope not the usual Parents got killed bla bla bla - but i´ll prolly be that way xD).
And as for the abilities of the 14.,they could be smth that´s threatening for the Earl...I think^^

It probably will be - but we'll learn some new things too, I guess. For one, there's a question mark next to his place of birth in the fanbook (Japan), and he was brought to the Order when he was 10 or so by Tiedoll. So it's probably not the usual parents-died story. Hopefully it'll be related to the plot, though - I already dislike Kanda enough; I don't need to read a long arc about his boring past that has NOTHING to do with DGM, too.

Yes, the 14th is a threat~ but I doubt we'll hear more of him for the time being. Maybe Cross's death/Central, though...?
