Thread: Chapter 169 Discussion - Kanda fanservice. Oh joy.

So I thought this was an unexciting chapter. Oh, those bald guys were funny, but now we're going to see more "Cross isn't dead!" and I might actually believe it. On the other hand, maybe someone really did just body-snatch (I thought he might have self-destructed, but that doesn't seem to be the case). What's up with this?

As the title says, Kanda fanservice. That last half is pretty boring, except Link looks kinda hot for once and Allen, as usual, adds a nice touch of beauty to the chapter. Well, except for how miserable he looks, but aside from that... There appears to have been a (short) timeskip. I'd like to know what happened with Levellier's announcement, especially because there's no DGM for a few weeks.

(Nope, no DGM next week, or the week after.)

huh?what do ya mean with "Cross isn´t dead" - didn´t they find the body in the new chapter or where does this come from?
(I haven´t looked at the raw so I don´t know xD)

it sucks that we won´t have DGM for 2 weeks in a row.I hope after that we´ll get something awesome

I have to say that the chapter disappointed me a bit.
I expected something to happen.

No announcement what they'll do with Allen, instead we get a ten days timeskip and see him do normal Akuma hunting. They don't have him in custody under their eyes and just let him do his job? And it seems he hasn't gotten the message yet.

But the strangest thing was Cross. How could he suddenly break through the window? The way he sat in the first shot makes it seem impossible, plus the window looks fine. Wierd.

Okay,unless he set this whole thing up,he barely escaped with his last powers through the window after the guardian saw him -> meh,don´t think so....

It seems there´s something going on in the next chapter - and we have a new Innocence ^^

Ack... Three weeks until the next... This suspense is killing me >< No "Allen's fate", Cross body taked away and suddenly... 10 days after. Seriously, this time was like "WTF??? Alternate Universe??" I'm growing fond of Miranda (still love Lenalee much more, tough :P).
If we compare the first time she appeared and how she turned out now... "What? They're two different people, punk!!"

I think he&#180;s more kinda like thoughtful - he probably thinks about Cross,what he said and what happend to him.

True. After hearing that you will cease to exist (kinda) and that you will kill someone you love you tend to be absent-minded and depressed. I hope he doesn't ask himself whether he killed Cross without remembering it.
On top of that he is sad that Cross is dead. I assume he knows about it after ten days have passed.
That he can do anything amazes me. Most people would most likely be too shocked to even get out of bed.

Hey,I got an idea.Perhaps after Cross said those words,he revived "the Sleeper" in Allen and then he killed him.So that&#180;s how it could happen and then he doesn&#180;t remember it (deviated from Feanor&#180;s idea xD).But I think that&#180;s unlikely,cuz then Cross wouldn&#180;t disappear...

But Allen has alot of willpower,so he won&#180;t go Emo and cut himself

How could Allen have killed Cross? It's clear from 168 that he didn't move all night since Lenalee was asleep on his shoulder. Allen, and therefore the 14th, didn't do it.

About Cross and the window: The logical explanation is that someone else took him through the window (and broke it), if he didn't do it himself and wasn't really dead. Perhaps the killer remained in the room and was there when the guard looked inside.

Oh well,who knows what the 14th was able to do?But apart from that,you are probably right.
And the thing with the killer in the room sounds interesting - but wouldn&#180;t we then have seen a shadow or something?Oh well,we&#180;ll have to wait for the next chapter ...
