Chapter 167 discussion - Not much happens

Seriously sometimes its shit scary how Digi can predict what'll happen in this story, (he would obviously leave, as told by digi, or some other person, can't remember who.)

Yeah not much happened, though you have to wonder, during the times that Allen was unconscious, was it the 14th fighting or just the Innocence? Since Cross said that the 14th was "supposed" to take over the host, therefore the consciousness should protect the host, no?

I predicted...? Er, wait, I haven't read the chapter yet. =D Shitty raw and spoiler, though.

Seems like the Innocence does have a mind of its own; would the 14th have killed his own brother (the Noah are supposed to get along with akuma)? It could be that the Innocence picked up on another force's desire to let the host live, though, and acted on its own from there to protect Allen at all costs.

Hoooooooly shit, Allen's screwed from all sides, parasitic innocence and now this, this better feature some badass character development next chapter as promised. However, I wonder what he meants by "can't laugh about the thing with Theodore either."

Cross is referring to the fact that Tiedoll cares so much (openly) about his students, and obviously, that's not something Cross does. He means that now he's behaving just like Tiedoll (and therefore can't laugh at him anymore?).

Well, at least we know Allen's going to have something of a happy ending, or at least some improvements in the future. Any more angst for Allen and DGM will be almost comical.

Just read the chapter.Not bad - but the thing with him going to kill his friend when his going to be the 14th is a bit awkward...wasn´t the 14th a good person? or did he just want to kill the Earl,no matter what?
and I don´t want Allen to turn in the 14th...now we´ll have another scenario where a manga character has to fight his other self (like in Jio in 666 Satan :P).
And Allen wants to escape now,or what?Wonder if Cross wants to sacrifice himself or something(he said somthing bout sacrificing...)

Yeah, I still think this being-taken-over thing is kinda lame. Either Allen fights it in a cliche-shounen-hero way and wins (lame), or Allen dies and the new protagonist is some other guy for the next thirty volumes (even more lame, actually). Ugh. I guess Allen could fight in a unique way, or better yet, have someone else do it for him (Lenalee kthx), but... Now that I think about it, didn't we have something similar with Lavi already?

I think Cross meant that Allen was the sacrifice (to the 14th).

Way I see it is, given the fact that Innocence has saved his life by its own will, and he also happens to have the Innocence of Exorcism which...destroys the inner Noah and leaves the host alive, anyone? His Innocence will probably be what keeps him human, like keep the 14th at bay or something, I honestly hope we don't have a lame and cliched fight with 'imself.

It could be, although it's worth noting that Allen's sword didn't actually succeed in Exorcising the Noah from... well, anyone he's used it on. It works as a sword, clearly, but it doesn't do that. I can definitely imagine that being a possibility, though... and thank god, that would be so much better than Allen fighting against the 14th himself.

Acutally, we haven't seen the full capabilities of the sword, if you look at it "in-universe", what the sword's been there for at most 2 weeks, or even less? The only action the sword ever got was at the end of the Ark arc, and the level 4 akuma bit. So suffice to say, Hoshino could pull yet another hat trick and make the sword really epic (hey it was a chapter cover, I think we've got to give it more credit =p)
