Thread: Chapter 165 Discussion - You can come back now; the plot's started up again.

Raw is out.

Thoughts:

1) Allen looks hot.

2) Lenalee's hair grew out a little more. I liked it better short, but hey... not that bad.

3) New uniforms!

4) The new HQ looks pretty cool.

5) PLOT. At the end of this chapter, Allen (with his arm sealed... hmmm...) is going to meet Cross. You know we'll get plot/information next chapter. Yay!

6) Did I mention how good Allen looks?

(first of all the new skin is kind of big for me >.> but meh)

anyways, IMO Allen looked really nice in the hooded uniform. (ala the nobodies in kingdom hearts, they always gave me that really cool, yet menacing vibe when they've got their hoodies up, but i think that's just me). About Lenalee's hair, I think she's making good with the promise with Anita way back when. Remember Anita said to let her hair grow out again.

Also i hate how Hoshino drew her eyes in the third page, its too wide and cat like IMO.

Also about the house, Allen seems to know the house. Any ideas on who owned the house before? I mean it can't be Mana's since he and Allen were travelling before. Maybe Cross's? but he's got all those debts >.>

Allen with the hood up actually scared me; I thought he had that semi-long hair from volume 4... so what a relief to see him pull it back to reveal his normal haircut. The new uniforms look pretty good from what we saw here, too. ^_^ I bet some people are/would be happy about that military theme. It's clear Lenalee does want to grow out her hair again, but I hope Hoshino doesn't change it in another eight volumes!

(Allen's cat eyes? XD He's just surprised. Looks cute~)

The house? Did Allen know it? I thought it was just another Order-owned building, and Allen's reactions were to noticing it... but now that you mention it, maybe... It seems more likely to be something Cross owned, although if Mana was involved with Cross, it could have been that. (Apparently, the travels didn't begin until Allen was 9 - yeah, wtf? - but it'd be odd if it was actually Mana's house and Cross wasn't part of it somehow. After all, Mana was probably a Noah, and...)

I actually liked the chapter very much and we also get to the story pretty quick.And I think it´s interesting what Allen thinks about the interrogation...I´m pretty sure there will somehow be a turning point where Allen and co. get away from the order or they "destroy" the higher ups....It would be pretty cool to see Allen smash pseudo Hitlers face (forgot his name :P)

anyway, what´s up with the first page? was it from the memory of Allen or Cross?
and Allen got his innocence sealed cuz he´s gonna be interrogated..by Cross - this is gonna get interesting...

Yup - Claymore, anyone? Lenalee and Lavi seem likely candidates for leaving, and oddly enough, they're both here right now. I can definitely imagine Cross telling Allen about it (how he and the 14th fought the Earl and Order?) and then dying, leaving Allen to avenge him.

That first page did seem like a memory; it apparently takes place after this (the "rainy day" that was referenced), so perhaps something will happen to Cross soon.

No, not Allen's Lenalee's during the "Informal" conversation. (sorry didn't clear that up). About the house, yeah, Allen, seemed to know it, since the second page started with "That's...", if Allen didn't recognize the house the whole scene shouldn't have started with "That's..." but either he be just silent or be thinking about the whole "Komui tried to trick me about the ark" thing.

Blame that to the last 5? or 6? chapters...

Hmm... I thought the "That's..." just referred to the fact that Allen saw it for the first time as opposed to just seeing cliffs 'n stuff all the time, but maybe...

(Yeah, the last six chapters, ugh. I worry what the rankings in Jump will be for those.)

We can't say for sure since Hoshino purposely drew him without showing the eyes. So we can't surely say that it's recognition or surprise.

(Also the last 6 chapters, at least krory woke up, seems that his wings are only there when he's conscious, and its made of blood)

Yeah, maybe. I wonder if we'll hear about that in the future, although I suspect that if Allen did recognize it, we'd have had a hint already. Then again...

(And Krory disappears! At least the Allen/Komui conversation ended up playing a role, it seems.)

Actually am curious what that Hitler look alike would do from this point on. I mean He already knows about Allen through what Cross said, and he mentioned something about something Allen being under his command, I thought ALL exorcists were under his command.
