You're right. My natural inability to get things wrong took over there for a minute when I wasn't looking. I mean, they write it as TU.
It's not so weird that they write it that way - it's just that those characters are exceptions to rules. For example, if you learn that かきくけこ is KA KI KU KE KO, then you learn たちつてと as TA TI TU TE DO, despite the fact that the sounds are a little different. It just comes from following a rule and not knowing actually how to pronounce what you're writing.
It's the fault of the Japanese English Education being based all on reading, writing and grammar as opposed to talking and communication. Grr.
But yeah, I do find it cute when some kid or a cute girl bastardises the language without realising it :)
Ah, so they just don't bother to learn exceptions. And English teachers can't fail them for doing it that way, or something? =P In all the language classes I've taken, exceptions have been drilled into our heads, and the teachers get angry if we do it any other way... particularly if it's a matter of following the general rule as if it weren't an exception at all.
(Kids bastardizing a language are always cute. In fact, half the time it's cuter when they do that instead of speaking it correctly. <3)
I don't know if that's the problem with Hoshino, though. It could just be that "artistic license" or whatever where the authour spells it the way they damn feel like it and to hell if it's accurate or not.
Hey, here's something I noticed.
You remember p3 of c139? It had really shitty artwork? Well, that's been fixed for the Volume release. That's nice.
Yeah, it is. ^_^ I think that was done for earlier chapters (in volume 13?), too - the ones where Cross first appeared.
I bought this issue it was great
It wasn't as good as the last ones... not in terms of extras and stuff. I think Hoshino used everything for the fanbook.
