Thread: Chapter 159 Discussion - WHY GOD, WHY?!

Here's the raw, translation, etc. Yeah, it took a while.

All I can say is that I hope this chapter ceases to exist at some point. With the exception of the serious parts, it seemed like Hoshino had been reading DBZ, Bleach (again?), and Ranma 1/2, and decided to "try something new".

Granted, Lavi and Kanda look really cute. However, Allen needs a haircut LIKE NOW, I worry that fanboys are going to fantasize about catgirl-Lenalee for years now, and Bookman with rabbit ears will give me nightmares for a long time...

Well, he does look like Ranma there...

Overall, a filler chapter that could be easily avoided.

And don't tell me that they are getting attacked again....

If they got attacked, that would be incredibly stupid for two reasons:

1) It's been three chapters since the level 4.
2) Miranda and Mari (and Allen, unless that hair gets in the way) are the only Exorcists in fighting condition right now that we can see. Unless you'd like to see cat-minded bunny-eared Bookman running around?

Nah, it'll be something like Krory tripped the lights while sleepwalking, or Bak inhaled some Komui-concoction, or...

At least we can hope it's not going to be more than two chapters, like the Komrin thing. Oh, and Allen's hair is not going to be long forever, fortunately. It's scary.

Allen looks funny (like everyone who got in contact with those...ehmm..."science stuff" xD
yeah,i too think it´s Krory or perhaps the shadow in Allen´s head (the 14th?)? I don´t really think so,but who knows ... ^^

Allen actually looks really different with that hair. In the scenes where it was still short, he looks taller and leaner... which is much better for a guy who really isn't all that tall.

Why would it be the 14th? o_o Krory, maybe... but there are still a bunch of characters who haven't turned up yet (three Generals, Chaoji + friends, Bak). Maybe it's a really scared Lau Shiimin(?).

wasn´t she(or it lol) in the shower with her master??? (-> was it the first-time-obvious fan service in D.Gray-men,or haven´t I noticed any because I read Air Gear? xDDD )

I actually quite liked this chapter I enjoyed a bit of humour, and the opening scene with Krowley was kinda cool, in a cliched-but-enjoying-it kinda way.

Yes, that was probably the first real incident of fanservice in DGM... except it was really nothing when you think about it. XD It was cool that we got to see the rest of her face, though (that the giant scar covers both sides). And yeah, Lau Shiimin is the monkey ("remember to clean your back!"). Strangely enough, I had a dream about those monkeys... I was asking what kind they were, and suddenly some appeared. o_o

I have to say I also enjoyed the chapter. To me it looks more like a set up with Kory being poisoned by someone (and he was chained in bed), then that person going to look for the others... so a murder mistery! As far as Allen's long hair, I made the connection to Ed Elric myself... so I didn't have too much of a problem with it. As far as the science stuff... I think that it only affected the language, mostly because you don't see the ones affected either wandering off, walking on all fours, cleaning themselves by licking their hands, ext.

lol, you shouldn't have talked about Ed here. Digi can be very scary when someone compares DGM to FMA. Although this is pretty valid this time....
