It seems that Lenalee is the FIRST ever crystal type Innocence =o I guess Kanda will be next then Lavi (since gramps said that they'll leave if Lavi ever undergoes that Innocence evolution)

Haven't read the chapter, because I don't think this way of doing things is fair. Seriously, when you're done with the raw, RELEASE it.

That new Noah looks creepy, and I don't mean in the cool-character way. Road looks... unusual, though.

Yeah, but Allen has a monocle too, and he's WAY cooler! He doesn't look greasy, either.

This "crystal" thing feels really lame, though. It also makes it sound as if Lenalee will be just another Exorcist and not part of the Heart after all.

Edit: Wow, I really disliked this chapter. It WAS lame.

Although nothing happened, this chapter is not that bad - at least it gave us hope that plot will be finally developed once again. Also a couple of wise words were said, hopefully Hoshino will give us the good explanation of Earls actions in past arc.

And don't get how Linalee's innocence is not a parasitic type - it consists of blood after all, which is obviously a part of humans body. I see now reason to call it special type.

Yeah, it was good that Hoshino hasn't ignored the Earl's strange behaviour, even if it probably won't be discussed in future chapters until the reason is revealed by the Earl. I thought of you, reinard, when Bookman said that. ^^;;

It's a "crystal" type, which means it's equipment that uses blood. Apparently, the difference is that a parasitic-type actually transforms a body part and goes back to being that body part once everything is over; Lenalee's Innocence still has a different form. And now we're going to see Lavi and Kanda get that, too. >_> And I'd be willing to bet that at least one of them gets poked in the side to have it happen (Lavi?).

I guess this is why Lenalee's Innocence was behaving so weirdly after the level 3 fight, and there was that crystal thing around her... I can't help but think of this as bad writing, though. After all, Hevlaska was saying that it could be parasitic just a few chapters ago, and it also doesn't explain the weird markings on Lenalee's legs. I wonder if Hoshino just changed her mind (or was told to).

I don't really see much point in calling it crystal type. It just an item type which was influenced with her blood, nothing more.

I guess some fan mail came with that question and Hoshino needed to come up with something, but it's really not so bad as it's said - Earl really could be able to destroy order any second, we knew that since beginning.

Lavi has inhuman blood inside him, hence it would be dangerous for him to crystalize his...the secret of bookmans can't be revealed.

I guess the Innocence is crystallized - it has that kind of structure or whatever.

Maybe. Or maybe she just never forgot and didn't have a good place to mention it in the story until now...

I wonder if Hoshino's new editor isn't the cause of this downward spiral. She got him around... chapter 135 or so? Immediately after, we had this Lulubell/level 4 thing, and now shitty and inconsistent plot. The last editor was pretty good (someone on MH said he was the editor for Death Note, too?), and I can't help but wonder if this is why DGM has really gone down in popularity recently... and why these last few chapters haven't been so great.

Yeah, it did. The last time we saw chapters with this scratchy artwork was back around Cross's first appearance, at ~128 or so. Wasn't that around the time Hoshino took her really long break?
