The manga is trying to get some plot all of sudden ;p

Inspector is my favourite character so far - and the level 4 looks...gay.

It always had a plot. Hoshino just realized that people want plot and only plot (I suspect).

The Inspector looks kinda weird as a little kid. Kinda like Link, actually. I wonder...

I thought the kid was supposed to be Hevlaska. I mean the hair color and everything would fit better imho. Also Hevlaska isn't out of the picture quite yet. Depending on how fast Lenalee becomes she might still live.

As far as Kanda being scarry/powering up/other things before Lenalee, well let's just say I don't think Komui and Chouji are dead yet. I can see Kanda doing some weird move, or (better yet) having Chouji's Innocence work like Wise's ring O-parts from 666 Satan. Unlikely, true, but at least something will happen.

Also Lavi might get the Hammer back! Go D.K. Mario!

Hevlaska was in the picture with the little kid, wasn't she? Besides, she's also that silhouetted figure with long hair (or it looks like her, anyway), so...

Sorry Digi, I don't want the real spot light going off Lenalee either. It's just I got this mental image of Lavi doing the extending pole to the platform, and then just smashing everything that wasn't him or Komui, or possibaly giving Kanda his Innocence back, then doing said smashing. Either way, Lenalee vs. Lvl 4 is going to be the main event.

Yeah, probably. If Hevlaska is going to die, then those two have to get their Innocences back anyway (and possibly repaired?).

On that note - if Hevlaska dies, what would happen to the Innocence within her? Would the akuma end up destroying it, or could she transfer the cube to someone else? And who would that be?

Well, the original plan was for Hevlaska to act as a decoy while the Innocence was taken somewhere else, so she must be capable of dispatching it somehow. So maybe she can slip it out when the Akuma's not looking? The Akuma seems to be prioritising Komui, anyway.

I think Hevlaska was just going to distract the akuma and take a really long time to die(?) while everyone ran off to the Asia branch. If Allen moved the Ark, the akuma wouldn't be able to find them (or not right away, at least). She seemed prepared to die, and now that we know what kind of life she's lived, it's not hard to see why...

Yeha, but she was also going to send off all the Innocence when she did it.

I wonder if that meant just sending it off randomly as it was originally done so that everyone would need to collect it again. If so, thank goodness the Exorcists without it are here now.
