Well, he still has a way to go - Ichigo was cut in two and has no problems surviving - he just couldn't move. Maybe 4lvl will help Johnny show more of his tricks?

Hey, Allen actually died... and we had an explanation for that. Johnny has no reason for being alive other than... well, being among such Invincible Immortals. Wow. It still amazes me that he hasn't bled to death from those back wounds he should have, that he wasn't knocked unconscious like the other scientists, and that he can still find the strength to crawl over to Allen and whine.
Oh, and you know he'll be ripped apart by an akuma at some point and not die. We'll see him walking around on crutches or something when the battle ends.

Johnny should be one of characters of "Happy Tree Friends". He'll fit just perfectly there.
