Apparently, my imagination really sucks. :/
The title of this thread needed to include Bak because I was just so happy... and yeah, Johnny was getting his own thread anyway.
Also, I don't think Allen likes the fact that Johnny hasn't died very much. He put his right hand over Johnny's bare one, after all... the same hand he'd just been throwing up in...
Sherman is probably right about this... But I'd prefer this to be drawn.
Well given that Allen was one of the first to act on the scene (at the start of this shit) I guess that being thrown around all powered down is a given. (Hell I mean he's always the first one to act. That boy needs some endurance training =p)
How could you draw something that supposedly so horrible and sickening that it makes you puke and tear up on sight? Remember everything is relative, even that.
(Also yay me for posting here again xD)
Allen just can't take hits; we already know that. We'll have to see the akuma's effect on other Exorcists, particularly Generals, to get an idea of its full power or else we might have an incorrect and biased view (sort of like judging a level 3's power from Lenalee's battle with one).
As for the soul, Allen sees things very differently from everyone else, and we know that. He'd be seeing a reality; we just look at a drawing on a piece of paper. Things don't have to look openly disgusting to evoke that reaction; I thought this chapter was particularly creepy and depressing and yet what happened in the chapter wouldn't imply that at all - it's all about the mood of the scene. In the same way, Hoshino could have shown us what it basically looked like, and our imagination would help us imagine how that would be to Allen (if we were experiencing it ourselves). It's hard to do that without having the faintest idea what the soul looks like.
(Did that last paragraph make sense? Somehow, as I was typing it, my brain ceased to work...)
(lol digi, don't worry my brain ceased its function a long time ago =p)
Hmm point, but wait did he close his eyes immediately when he saw the said akuma? I mean if he didn't at least he had a glimpse, no? (either that or Hoshino's just lazy to draw the soul =p)
Allen's eyes were wide open and he got a very good look at it (as he would have every time he looked at it while attacking). He didn't close his eyes at all, just collapsed and started gagging...
I hope we will see what he sees.. I want to see how sick it looks ^.^ Maybe the bandages you see normally are gone and you see the inner soul.. They said that the soul hurts and griefs with each kill or something right? (I read the first chapters in an other language so if i'm mistaken please correct me)
The akuma truly behaves like a innocent child, like it's learning to walk, talk and stuff like that.. I love the design though ^.^ I hope we see more diversity in lvl4 akumas.. Though I hope Marian or Klaud helps Allen in the next chapter and we learn more about the condition of Krory and Lenalee
Level 3s didn't have bandages; they were just big black shadows, weren't they? Nothing special. Of course, I'm sure there's a lot more to it than just that.
The Level 4 almost seems huggable if you ignore its ugliness (an ugly child?) and the fact that it seems to want to murder everyone. That's why it's so creepy! Anyway, I think next chapter will feature Allen's shadow re-appearing (and maybe we'll finally get that Noah!Allen appearance we've been waiting for; what better weapon to use against an akuma?). I noticed that since Crowned Clown first appeared, Hoshino has been drawing Allen without bangs, leaving his forehead totally exposed. That was around the time we heard about the Fourteenth... HMMM... :3 (Of course, it could always just be that this hair looks better on him. And it does.)
I reckon even if we saw it drawn next time, no matter what it was, everyone would say "oh thats not so bad after all i didnt even throw up when i looked at it lol allen is a pussy lol" so it might as well remain undrawn.
Also, what makes you say Bak is alive?
