^^;; Allen isn't the brightest of people, but he's not so stupid that intelligence would be a factor in such things (he's smarter than Kanda, after all). Age is probably the best reason, and no one could argue against it since everyone else at the meeting is an adult (technically, Link wouldn't be an adult in Japan, but this isn't set there...).

Non-Exorcists would probably be really confused and either not care, avoid him, or act... what's the word... suck-up, I guess? =P Something like that. (And Lavi wouldn't stop teasing him...)

Well, I never said that he is on the same level with rock. But still. And age will be enough of a reason of course.

This reactins you described seem to soft to me. I expect hatred to arise - since the likes of Allen are responsible for deaths of thier comrades.

Allen's involvement in the deaths of their comrades was by trying to save Suman - and it was Suman's involvement that led to many of those deaths. Aside from that, it's obvious that Allen wasn't a General or worthy of a personal guard at the time when everyone was dying, so wouldn't have had anything to do with it.

They think that he is the one of Noah, who have a lot to do with all that.

Allen becoming a General now wouldn't mean that he, as a General, had any involvement in those cases (as a Noah, well, that's something else).

^ No it wouldn't. I was wondering how normal members of Order whould react on the fact that a person, who was just suspected to be Noah was made a general.

Everyone would probably be really confused, especially if Allen was still being suspected. They might even spread rumours about the Order's manipulation of Allen (to make Allen feel worse, anyway - if he wasn't allowed in secret meetings, that could be mentioned).

They will probably be angry - why the fuck do higher ups make someone who is suspected of being Noah into general? He is strong, so what? I do not think that it will pe politically right desision now, because it may wipe out all the trust that Order's members have into thier leaders.

It isn't as if they picked Allen of all the Exorcists to be a General, though. Either that could be explained somehow... or people will probably lose their trust, as you said. The first target would probably be Komui, too - he's been defending Allen all this time.

Exactly, as the result of all it those who trust in Allen may be hurt too - mentally, if not physically. Especially if he later runs away from Order.
