That mother-assumption is a really wild but interesting guess. Maybe we really get to know more about Allen's true parents and their actual intentions of throwing away their child (or nothing's there...also possible o.o)

Maybe Cross was a friend of Maria (who would probably have been married? to Mana?) and that's how he knew her? Maybe she died in childbirth, which would be an excellent reason for Allen not having parents? Who knows. I just think her name is a bit too coincidental for a manga like DGM, with its religious references...

For now it's juts an assumption but I sure as hell will jump around laughing when it'll turn out to be true...because it really is a bit too much for a coincident.

Well, Allen being Maria's son is just one incident of me reading too much into things and thinking people are related - like with Cross and Lavi, and Allen/Lenalee and Road. XD I think the Cross one might fit best, though... was it really necessary for Jasdero to mention that both of them have red hair, and so Lavi reminds him of Cross? Hm...

I love the idea of Lavi being Cross bastard lovechild *like you know already xD (...but I really am sorry for those who are Cross' kids....he isn't exactly a father type....(something seriously is wrong with my keyboard so sorry for any typos...T.T)

Lavi seems to have an excellent teacher in Bookman, so I'm sure he's all right... I hope Allen isn't related (like that) to Cross, though. That'd be weird. XD

His hair is brown, isn't it? It wasn't really red. XD And his eyes are gray... don't know what colour eyes Cross has, but it just seems unlikely. Besides, Allen doesn't act like Cross as much as Lavi does~

I think it's the anime; his hair is a boring brown in colour-pages of the manga. The anime is a little off with hair colour, anyway.

Wouldn't the inheritance of genes mean that children are somewhat like their parents? Allen isn't like Cross at all. =P
