Oh come on, they've been holding hands for non-rescue reasons since volume 10 (so he had his hand over hers - that counts!). It's cute to see it so often, though. ^_^ And yes, he was holding her hands before she fell and he caught her (and technically, the attack is an extension of his hand, soooo...).

What do you mean, "you hope"? He DID catch her with the attack.

Wait, again I just noticed something. Isn't Lero, his sword? Or can he transform any umbrella to be his sword.

Edit: It was Lero before, but now it isn't. Huh? Maybe he has multiple umbrella golems.

Or maybe he oculd just summon it or something. Or it's just a slip that Hoshino-san made.

Or maybe it's a different umbrella that the Earl carries...? That seems to be the most likely option to me; Lero has only ever been seen talking once before, when it was with Road (not the Earl). I guess he just has a number of umbrellas, and one gets stolen by Road. Seems kinda weird to me, though - why would the Earl have multiple umbrellas, and doesn't that make Lero a little more pointless?

Ah, you're right - so I suppose Hoshino made a mistake. ^_^;; It doesn't make much sense to say "the Earl's umbrella" if there are more than one and the Earl wouldn't be annoyed, after all. So I guess it's an error. I KNEW that was Lero... >_>;;

Lero is an umbrella. There are no doubts about that. ^^;; As for the sword, god only knows what's up with that.

Cross's mission probably involves the Ark and its destruction (although you never know; I was just re-reading the Viz volumes I have of Naruto, and for all we know it could involve peeping on a girls' bath or something).
