He was referring to Allen himself, not just his hands. And honestly, that's true at the moment - Allen has been thrown into walls and floors and a fire, and has been bleeding all over the place. Of course he's filthy.

...Cross also spoke of Lavi being filthy, too. =P

He is filthy to a core, not just hands =P

Yeah... but all he needs is a bath, and he won't be filthy anymore. Cross did let him hang around for three years, right? On the other hand, Lavi also has a filthy mind, and that can't be removed so easily...

Filthyness of a soul is not something that can be removed with just a bath.

Lavi's soul is filthy. Since Cross led Allen around for three years, obviously Allen wasn't filthy, and Cross is just talking about the physical aspect.

Do you remeber the correletion that was found between Lavi and Cross that lead to a theory that suggested Lavi being Cross's son? It was about thier filthy soul.

Cross led Allen for tree years. Enough to make ones soul filthy.

That could work. I guess Cross would never know if HE had a filthy soul...

Allen is surprisingly innocent for someone who knew Cross for three years. Anyway, if he really was filthy at the end of it, Cross wouldn't have gone near him. =P I still think it has to do with the various walls and burning of self (and the fact that is shirt is partially missing).
