Oh trust me, I haven't even thought of nearly anything. My life just revolves around this, so I spend a lot of time talking about it. xD

You know, I'm really impressed at how much Hoshino-sensei's art has improved in three years~ It's gotten so lovely. But her comments make me think of some old man or whatever. xD It's weird.

But because your life revolves around this, you've thought up of anything I ever come up with. And I've come up with approximately nothing so far. D Gray Man just doesn't stimulate any thought process in me. I know too little of the story so far, even if I'm at chapter 125.

I <3 the Village People. Everyone wants be a macho man. And join the Navy. And stay at the YMCA.

    <Viraten> It's better than Naruto
    <Chiza> Most things are.

I haven't... there are people who think of new things all the time. ^_^ Most of my thoughts don't really relate to what will actually happen in the plot, anyway.

There's a lot of research that has gone into this, though. The Wiki article for "Pierrot", for example - well, it's not hard to see where Allen's personality came from. I can't see that not being planned. Apparently, there's some symbolism of the Rose Cross, too. Maybe that's what all this data collecting is for.

Trust me, coming up with and discarding ideas is a good way to pass time. Helps me actually get through my work days.

That kind of thing is how I spend my entire day... except I also write fanfiction, so at least I've got ideas for that. Wikipedia helps. You know, recent chapters have been really good for these kinds of theories... now that Chaoji has Innocence, there's plenty of things you can think of. :3 How is Allen going to train him, for instance.

I'm not used to stories such as D Gray Man. Everything is so colorful and lively.
I could compare it to Gantz, don't know what'll happen next.
Also don't post too many spoilers here, i'm lazy and haven't gotten so far... yet.

One thing I really dislike about DGM is the good guys, especially Allen. *covers head in fear*.
Lenalee too, she's always crying and emotional. Not exactly the ideal exorcist (enphasis on exorcist). Miranda and the vampire guy are just too weird.
Komui and Rabi are ok, though. And I hope Kanda appears more latter.

PS: didnn't know Hoshino was a woman. I picture every Shounen mangaka as a middle aged bald guy. o_O

D.Gray-Man, colourful?! XD It is really a manga where chapters are hard to predict, though. Every week, there are conflicting ideas on what will happen next... Hoshino-sensei surprises everyone~

I really like the protagonists. Allen is different from most others by being sort of nice, boring and naive, while Rinari is much stronger than most heroines - she's been through a lot, and she's surprisingly strong even so. (Yeah, she cries. But she's female. We do that. And I don't find it surprising that she'd cry when a friend nearly, or DOES die.)

Hoshino-sensei's true gender is apparently unknown, but she's assumed to be female. ^_^ As for age, though... I recall reading that she's born in 1980. So very far from middle-aged; in fact, not even as old as half the characters in the manga. =P

I asked my Japanese coworker, and she seems pretty confident that Katsura is a guy.

Actually, it's a surname, but if it had to be a guy or girl, she had no hesitation in saying it's a guy.

Eh, Katsura is her first name in her pennname. o_o Which is what it is. A lot of fans have apparently analyzed things like her writing style and comments, and think she's... well, female. (And honestly, how many men draw like that? xD So beautiful...)

Yeah, Katsura is his/her first name, but usually, it's known as a surname. Like, as if there was someone in English called Smith Johnson. They're both surnames. So it's kinda hard to tell if it's a guy or a girl (though Smith Johnson sounds like a guy to me).

But yeah, who knows. My coworker seemed to think it was a guy though.

    Also:
