Thread: Who the HECK is CHAOJI???

hey, i used to read D.Gray-Man a while back but then i just....stopped. Now i just recently caught up to date again but the problem is i forgot a few things...

1.) who the heck is this chaoji guy who's with the guys in the ark? i don't remember who is is, what he does, or where/when he joined them. :S

2.)where the heck did the Millenium Earl leave off to when they were fighting in japan? he was in a fight with Allen is all i remember.

1) Chaoji is a Chinese sailor who was on Anita's boat. Along with Masao and Kie (I'm pretty sure those are their names), he survived the akuma attacks and ended up hanging around the Exorcists in Japan. He had the (mis)fortune to get sucked into the Ark and has currently sustained a burned back and multiple stab wounds with Road's candles.

He is totally worthless.

2) The Millenium Earl just took off, I guess. Allen stopped him from doing terrible things to Rinari, and then... he disappeared. Presumably he didn't want to get into a fight at the time, since he was planning Rinari's death in the Ark (which happened not too long after).

ahhhh i see...this is quite interesting then...that is, why chaoji is even there at all when all the other chinese ppl died, he has no significant role in the current story arc other than being a hindrance to the others, do you think that there might be a reason for him to be there later? maybe he has a role to fulfill?

Chaojo, Masao and Kie were the only survivors besides the Exorcists. I guess it would have just been too much (exaggeration?) if everyone on the boat had died... Oh! He also tried to punch Tiki when Rinari was being attacked by the Noah, so...

Chaoji unfortunately probably has a role, and we'll find out soon if these spoilers mean anything. -__-;; But the other two are DECENT-LOOKING!

Chaoji is actually Earl in disguise and he was actually only interested in hugging Rinali in that box, but since Allen and Rabi was near all the time he couldn't do it.. poor Millenium Earl...

WHAAAT? Actually wait, he DID look... you know, that'd be pretty cool, if they hadn't both been around at the same time. >_> Unless someone stopped looking at him and he turned into the Earl just to run away later.

I think Chaoji is more focused on murdering Tiki now, though - and Rabi is just as likely to beat him up, too. He's also wounded. Hmm... maybe he'll sacrifice his soul for her... o_O

Is Chaoji the one who sort of flipped out when Allen mentioned that he wanted to save Tiki?

Yes, Chaoji is the one who hates Tiki with a passion and thinks Allen is an awful person for wanting to keep him alive. That was his redeeming scene. =D
