Chapter 120 Discussion
RAW, and translation are out (and most likely a scanlation will be ready by the time someone notices this thread).
I like the development that Lavi is been given. Right now he seems weak, but I hope that he'll end up overcoming his inner fears, and become even stronger. Anyways, quite a boring chapter, but it seems that the next one will probably be really good.
Scanlations are out now (first one by bludshock, it was posted within the thread and is now on the first post as well).
Heh...I just noticed that Rabi has a grave problem of split personality...schizophrenic bud.... And now Rabi practically died....q.q.....left is his True-Bookman-claiming-side......
And Linali's crying again...poor girl...seeing her comrades fighting that heavy is painful....and Road's getting really into it....
Why must Rabi's so called 'true feelings' be so harsh!!
You disappoint me so much Rabi!! @_@
I doubt there's much chance in the short term of him becoming the old Rabi now...
Basically.. The most likely thing to happen is Allen kills him.
Or Rhode somehow gets it reversed- maybe Linali stops being useless and attacks her?
Since Road seems to know almost everything she is very confident about Allen's feelings and (re)actions. Road's behaviour comes close to the bookman's. Watching as bystander. Okay, not really bystander now...she's getting (indirect) into action.
Aw, that Rabi is harsh, but we did get known to this personality at the beginning of Road's game, right? Oh, and that means he lost to Road....
Hm...with the exception that Road isn't bound to any teacher. It's still a mystery what her role is actually.
She referred to Chaozi as human, because he both isn't an exorcist and isn't important, since Linali is the possible Heart-possessor. But, Road's view of human and not-human isn't clear anyway.
We don't know if she is, though. The Earl could be that person, or there could be someone controlling things behind the scenes that we don't know about. She does seem to be fairly unique among the Noah.
If he wasn't important, couldn't she have said "that person", or just referred to them both as friends? Pointing out Rinari specifically is a good idea since Allen isn't very rational when it comes to protecting her, but the use of human just confuses me. Why would she refer to one person as human but not the other, since in all appearances that's what Rinari is? It'd be like referring to Allen and Kanda, for example, as Allen and the Exorcist. It could just be random, but it makes me wonder. ._.
Technically, having the Heart doesn't exclude you from being human - as far as we know. Maybe it does mean something else.
It's true that being an exorcist still makes one a homo sapien human. But Rinali also has an innocence, which was supposedly made by god. Chaozi is only a mere mortal, and has nothing beyond that. By Rhode probably holds Rinali in higher status because of her being a chosen apostle. That's why she doesn't call Rinali human because that's not all she is, unlike Chaozi.
