Allen and The Earl Millenium: ?????

1.We know that Allen's sword is the opposite of the Earl's, but when Road looked at Allen and saw the look on his face, she immediately thought of the Earl.
2.The Earl has the attitude of a joker, talks and behaves like one.


Isn't a joker also a clown??? if we follow by definitions, a joker is the common name for the representation of a medieval court jester or harlequin.Other things distinctive about the jester were his incessant laughter.
Now wasn't Allen's Innocence called Crown clown?? In medieval england, there used to be clowns in service of the crown(king or queen) called royal court jesters.

So is Allen related to the Earl or is Allen The Exact opposite of Earl?

Related in power maybe. And...exact opposite would be quite fitting. But that Road immediately thought of the Earl when she saw Allen with the sword is 1. a sign and 2. either just his appearance or his aura. They seem to be pretty similar to each other (not similar with the power substance for example, but maybe as basic.

Or she just thought of the Earl when she saw the sword because it's the same damn sword with different colours. They're probably exactly what they appear to be - polar opposites where the similarities are also contrasting. If they weren't even similar in any way, how could they really be opposing each other to that extent? (Look at the previous battles - we have friendless power-hungry maniacs fighting each other, and the closest thing to inhuman monsters. Close, but opposite.)

That also fits with the Earl's reference to clowns - if he's the Auginiste (?), anyway. I looked on Wikipedia; sure, both kinds he mentioned are clowns who work together but they need to be opposites for the routine. That's why, I guess.

It's some sort of theater play reference. If they're some sort of polar opposite, Road's sudden image-flash can be both a sign for that and just her memories (since the Earl really is something close to her as family just like everyone from the Order is to Allen) because they look alike each other with the sword and expression of determination.

I don't know about the family thing, although she recognizes it - as I said, I think she just sees the Earl because yeah, they do look alike at that moment, with the sword and pose (since it's kind of hard to see the Earl's expression - Allen looks much more murderous than the Earl ^_~).

Why is it that the antagonists abd the protagonists are always either opposites or exactly the same...?
I'd say the complete opposite, The Earl being... well, hopelessly evil, and Allen letting his heart think for him, I'd say opposites.
And Road's memories.. well... I still say opposites.

It's because if they weren't exactly opposites with similarities, they wouldn't be fighting. That's why all the fights we've seen in the past are like that, too. People who just don't really have anything in common or directly opposing don't fight (like, say, Allen and Road - there just aren't any major similarities between them in that sense. On the other hand, Road and Rabi both have strong attachments to family and friends that are unrelated to them).

In the next chapter where Allen returned to fend off the Earl.

There was a drawing for the chapter cover with the Earl and Allen and they looked kinda similar to each other.


So its like they are the same but on opposite sides.

Which is basically what we've been saying... I don't think there's any kind of actual relationship, though. (That's assuming the Earl is human or human-like, though. I mean, Allen's definitely human, abandoned baby or not.)

Road and Rabi are feeling alike each other for not-related people around them is most probably because they don't have a real family (or in Road's case we just don't know).

Of course Allen is human. He's just...blessed with an Anti-Akuma-Weapon since his birth. And the Earl is definitely a weird creature and not human....
