Yeah that move by Road surprised me as well. She definitely seems to be not as bad as she should be... she did seem to want to save the others, and just fuck with them for a while, rather than actually kill em. Good on her. Maybe she can hook up with Allen after all. Awesome.

Yeegar died of injuries back in the Order, didn't he? It was Tiki who inflicted them, though; that kid he was with was holding the medallion with the General's name on it, and Tiki makes those things. The anime probably messed it up, because Road definitely didn't kill him.
So going by the MANGA, Road hasn't killed anyone - see my thread on Road. She really does want to save them. (All of them.)
Cross is also very mysterious, and doesn't seem to be involved with the Order very much. Hmmmm. Maybe he's some kind of renegade, who ran away from being a Bookman too?
Eh, since it seems like I was the only one watching the episode (or the anime at all) let me explain:
Tyki and Road went to the place Yeegar was. Road took him into her own dimension (this room with candles and so) and let him experience his past over and over again (it was about Yeegar being teacher when he was younger but one girl turned into an Akuma and killed all his disciples, and since he wasn't an exorcist back then he was still blaming himself etc.) Road sang her song (I like this song of 'the Earl's searching for the heart.....') and wanted Yeegar to sing it too...Tyki stopped her and pulled them both back to reality and easily defeated Yeegar, whose mind was crushed by Road. See? After that he only sang Road's song in his apathetic state....
In any way, I like Road's manga-appearance. There she doesn't seem as sadistic as in the anime.....
Of course Cross isn't involved very much with the Order...he avoids every HQ and members, after all. And with success....

She can be a sick ****, but herself portrayed as a normal girl (doing homework, "family time" with Tiki and the Earl) is what makes her interesting and what happened in 110 with Allen made it cooler
Road IS a normal girl. In the manga, she hasn't done anything of the sort to show that she's really creepy and evil (as I said, almost every "bad" thing has been beneficial to the victims in the end). I think Hoshino-sensei has done a good job of creating the antagonists - they're still human, and pretty normal people (even Tiki has friends who he's nice to and AREN'T Noah). Jasdevi even thought Crowley was the monster (and I guess if you didn't know him before that incident...). I still find myself wondering if the Exorcists really are the "good guys" of the story - they're the protagonists, but they might not necessarily be on the side of God. They're all really messed up too, except perhaps for Rabi, and I'm not sure about him just yet. After all, what were they doing to that poor little boy that the permanently-traumatized Rinari saw?
Cross isn't involved with the Order, and the Bookman guys aren't really supposed to be. Hmmm...
i think in this story both sides are pretty messed up, maybe it's not a good vs evil story, but a "kinda evil if you think about it"(exorcists) vs "evil in a different way"(earl and noahs) story :p
I never liked the division between ""good" and "evil" or this ying and yang stuff. I always saw it as people who are more selfish and less selfish :D Hitler was a really selfish person :) DGM manga takes idea from Clamps X-1999 where we have a side of Dragons of Earth and Dragons of Heaven. Dragons of Earth were destroying world in order to create in anew (they fought this is the best way for all), while Dragons of Heaven wished to protect the world (even if it was near it's destruction, they wanted to leave the decision to people). Earl said once that his way might be the right one and Noah's most likely believes in that. Exorcist strive to survive - there is nothing bad about it either.
What I want to say is that this manga isn't about good and evil, at least I believe so.
It really isn't about good and evil because both sides have shown to be human - the Noah are as human as the Exorcists (and honestly, that doesn't say a lot when you look at Tiki and Allen and how messed up their views of life are by now). At the same time, they're all corrupted. Before, there was a debate in this subforum on which side really is favoured by God - because they all seem to be. Innocence and whatever the Noah have (dark matter, was it?) are really just two aspects of the same thing - they're almost always destructive (apparently not always, as in the cases of Road and Miranda, but...).
Allen's such an anti-hero now. It's great. ^_^
Why do you say Allen is anti-hero ? He just wants to trash the "bad guy" - whats anti-hero about it ? (he is nowhere near Kyo from "Samurai Deeper Kyo" level of anti-hero, but even he was ... heroic sometimes :) ).
Allen is still a brat, but hopefully he will get his character development :) (he never had moral problems with fighting Tiki)
