Thread: Episode 18 Discussion - It's that bad. Really.

So where do I begin?

This had the most stereotypical plot ever.

There was no imagination whatsoever. From the moment they went shopping it was REALLY obvious what was going to happen. No plot, no imagination, shitty episode.

THEN there was Rinari.

Not only was she COMPLETELY out-of-character - she abuses Komui multiple times! - her outfit... her OUTFIT... You do not walk through Paris wearing a schoolgirl outfit. Ever. Really, she just looks really dumb, not to mention she has to change into her boots.

Oh, and then there was the akuma! You'll have to see him for yourself; I think Team Rocket had more brain cells than this guy. Two of him, even. Or three. He's really the stupidest thing I've ever seen and only really existed because they needed an akuma somewhere.

Allen has an octopus on his head for the entire episode. Need I say more?

The Komrin jokes are overused and sadly, Komurin III looks suspiciously like a Transformer.

Komui is slightly calm considering the situation. Well, okay, I guess he's in character. Rabi isn't having enough fun and Allen is in-character for the single moment that he isn't yelling at Timcanpy for some reason or another, but that's really about it for character. There is no character development whatsoever.

Did I mention the complete lack of plot whatsoever?

Oh, and the art. The art is just awful, as usual.

When the subbed version comes out, you'll have to tell me if the dialogue is bad, too. Thankfully, I didn't understand any of it; it probably sucked just as badly as everything else (or maybe not; if it's boring that'll be an improvement).

So unless you absolutely must watch every episode of D.Gray-Man, skip this. It's an awful piece of animation, it's a stain on Hoshino-sensei's creation, and it adds nothing to the plot. It's an awful filler that you might find in a boring shoujo manga and... it's lame.

Why would she wear a schoolgirl outfit? She's not in school and aren't they usually worn by Japanese schoolgirls?

You know what? I don't know. Why would she wear a schoolgirl uniform, without her boots, to PARIS, while shopping for a gift for her brother with a guy old enough to be her father AT LEAST? To see Allen's reaction for all of two seconds?

...Really, and she wears it for the entire episode, too. >______> Even while ladies in long skirts and stuff are walking around her.

I have lost complete interest in the D. Gray-Man anime. These fillers are just so DUMB-ASSY!

Linali? A Schoolgirl outfit?! For starters, where did she even GET it? If she's been in the Order since she can remember, you'd think she'd wear the uniform all the time, but... a SCHOOLGIRL OUTFIT?! IN PARIS?! She's high...

Komurin III? *slaps face* They're making Komui stupider every episode just by letting him make another abomination like that.

I'm not too happy about this... the animation is so third-rate....

......then again, I've seen worse. Does anybody remember how Gonzo Animation butchered the Chrono Crusade characters and plot?! GAH!!

I'll save myself the trouble of watching the subbed version....

.. I actually feel batter after watching DGM anime - I know there are people out there which completly suck ass and can do anything right, although they already have a perfect material which could bear them lots of money...it's just make my rat-race life a little better...

Yes, a schoolgirl outfit, and it makes me wonder why she's buying a tie when she obviously has a perfectly good one already. =P Although it certainly looks out of place.

Komrin III looks like a Transformer, too. That's just copyright infringement.

Kolox: Agreed. I'm just waiting for them to completely change the rest of the anime and have time travel or something like that.

well i guess this means the anime is not going to be just 26 eps like what people predicted, so that's good news i hope :P

It'll be at least 52, and we can hope it'll end there or else we'll see a LOT of fillers.
