The Betraying Noah (theory)
Because all of you should know by now that I have no life~ Around Christmas, that is. And I blame all of you for not being on the forum long enough to distract me from writing this ridiculously long theory.
It's sort of been on my mind these past few days (okay, day... but it's a long day!) - that Noah who betrayed the others... he's the reason that the Noah have been going after Cross - because they believe Cross was given some kind of power from that Noah that is related to the Ark (as it cannot move from Japan ever since that was granted).
To me, this seems Important. Like... one of those things that comes up later.
I want to hear your theories~ and your thoughts on mine.
I posted this in another thread... in scattered form... but I suspect this has something to do with Mana (Allen's foster father, ne~).
First of all, Mana has the Hat - that top hat that we've only seen on the Earl and Tiki Mick. Normally, not a big deal, but it's really his defining feature. It made me suspect something, mostly jokes about how he's the Earl, etc... and then I re-read the part about the Ark.
Presumably, the Noah-power exchange happened about three years ago. It was before Jasdevi were born, it says - but that probably means born as a Noah (Boric seems to know about it), and the Noah were appearing at that time. If the recipient of the power is Cross, as believed by Jasdevi, then it can't have happened later because Allen has been with Cross most of that time (and that would be weird.)
And Mana died three years ago - we don't know how.
The timeline fits, the image fits... It's easy to say that Mana was raised as an akuma because he couldn't do any more harm - he'd be using Allen's body, not his own; he'd be controlled by the Earl; and maybe the Earl figured that Allen, with his anti-akuma arm, would kill Mana anyway.
Besides, it seems that Noah have light and dark sides - which just means that he could have disguised himself as a normal guy, even in Allen's memories. He could also have been a genuinely nice guy.
But what about that picture? Of the Noah himself - with spiky hair that appears later in the series? =P Because, you know, it does look like Allen's clown hair. But it could just be me.
On that note, why is Allen so high on Tiki Mick's hitlist? It's supposed to kill those connected to the Noah - not the human granted powers. Allen, as a simple student of Cross, only has the exorcist factor going for him and that's hardly special. I mean, it's possible - but if he was connected to Mana, and the Earl would know, it would be just as likely that he'd need to die.
Now... this is just a random thought, and probably an unlikely one, but what if Cross didn't receive those powers? Wouldn't he have done something instead of just wandering around with Allen for three years, and then going to Japan - and not even really looking for the Ark (as there are akuma everywhere)?
So maybe the recipient of the betraying Noah's powers didn't even know about it.
Like... oh, I dunno, Allen. =P
Close to Mana, received curse, and travelled with the knowledgeable Cross for years. Seems to me like a very probable thing.
In summary: Mana is the betraying Noah who gave his powers to Allen, not Cross.
