I really hope Kanda makes it out and joins up with them. ;_; I'm a Kanda fangirl. Idk if I'd like a smaller group because I like almost all of the characters, but I would like to see them at least get a chance to fight individually, or at least fight without being overshadowed by Allen.
I wouldn't mind seeing Allen fight as a clown; he's had... what, two fights so far? One was the power-up and the other lasted about ten seconds before Kanda came to kick his ass (and he got lost). >___> I wouldn't mind seeing anyone fight, though.
I'm not a Kanda fangirl... but he looks a lot better than he did at the beginning. xD I do wonder what that tattoo thing is...
Most of the Noah's that we currently know off debuted in volume 3. There appearances have been greatly refined since them but they are still the same.
I still see at least 100 more chapters before the Ark arc ends. But for a Jump manga that's still relatively short. I just hope we get a better ending than Shaman King
I think the Ark bit will end (fairly) soon - maybe one more battle after Jasdevi - but do you mean the arc about the Earl and Noah's Ark in general (with the Noah and all)? 100 chapters sounds good for that. I can't see D.Gray-Man ending at 200 chapters, though - well, I guess it could... but I hope it doesn't. ^_^ It's so much better than most of the other Jump series. xD
(Well, and I like long series, as most people who know me might know...)
Jasdevi didn't appear in volume 3. However, there are way too many chairs for there just to be 5 Noah - Wikipedia says there are supposed to be 13, possibly including the traitor.
wooh..well...they need to be introduced...the other Noahs....!
Aand...I love long stories too (how many times did I mention this already? Sorry to get on your guys and gals nerves...=.=)
Oh well...the ending...every ending has many complaints...there isn't a perfect one...everyone thinks something else when thinking on a 'perfect' one...
100 chapters at least. I'm sure that new Noah's will be introduced after the end of this arc and they will, probably, play greater role than Boric, who appeared just to die.
Well, no, Boric got to make a few comments about sweetness - and maybe he killed Kanda. That would be something. =P
I want to know who this betraying Noah is... be typical, but cool, if it's someone mentioned before (someone's parent, maybe?).
Hey, I am the one known for long series - "It's only almost 500 chapters. It works that way. Hope it goes on for a while longer" - and then I get eggs thrown at me or something. For me, as long as it ends with a clear ending, someone getting together with someone else at any point in the story, and a defeated enemy... it's okay. And, you know, that's pretty typical of shounen. ^_^
I agree that there is much to reveal. Like Rinali's dreams, Rabi's eye patch (or is this already revealed in a novel?), Kanda's seal and his destiny, etc etc.
Personally I hope it will last longer, as I love the manga. But I hope it last long yet satisfying, not to a point where it is a drag. Then again, this is what all other manga seem to fall into after a while.
There's speculation over whether or not the novels are actually written by the authour... >_>
Manga only seem to be dragging to individuals - if I like a manga, I don't find that it drags even when other people think it does. I can't see D.Gray-Man having that kind of problem even after a long period of time; it has a lot of potential - and I want to see more tie-ins to historical events. =P Pity it's fifteen years or so before WWI...
Noah traitor is Mana for sure! He wears (almost) same hat as Earl and Tiki.
I can see another three or four arcs after the Ark, including attak on HQ...
And, tie-ish to history? After Japan being populated almost entirely by Akuma? But that would be great.
