why does it seem that throughout the whole d.gray-man forums there are only about four people?
Because we're just really talkative. (And D.Gray-Man is a fairly new forum, as well as being one for a series that isn't as popular as, say, Bleach or Naruto.)
Hey, I like it. We have interesting discussions, seeing as how there *are* regulars. ^_^
Komui looked more girly... but how long ago was that? Rinali doesn't look that little, though she's probably about eight or nine... guess she was just a mature-looking kid. *shrugs* And Komui is ageless. =P
oh my god
wenhamm with 2 m's?
he's australian, and named after that guy that played faramir in lotr, david wenham
What, seriously? I never noticed that - but it's cool; Faramir was a cool character. ^_^ Hey, it could have been that old guy that everyone thinks is hot except me (whatever his name is).
But I wish his name was romanized as River; it looks cooler. ^_^ (Riibaa... <3)
Engrish sounds so cool. I wish I could speak it more than just those Tuesday nights after chats with immigrants... *sigh*
Reading the Chinese version of D.Gray Man, I always knew the character's English name. Except I never came to like the names, so I just spell it whatever I liked.
The only name I questioned is Rinali's (okay, my stubbornness had rejected her formal name, official or not). As a Chinese, her name is not very Chinese. A common Chinese name will be two vowels for first name, and one vowel for last name. In her case, she will have three vowels for her first name (Ri-na-li) and one for her last name (li), which is very very very uncommon.
Perhaps her name should have been Li-Nali (Li as her last name, and Na-li as her first name). But who am I to argue... I am just some random chinese girl who reads...
...Makes sense. D.Gray-Man was created by a Japanese person, after all. xD
I've read that Rabi is... not Rabi's real name, and he gave up his original name after becoming a Bookman. Wonder where that info came from.
EDIT: VOLUME 8 INFO PAGES! I read something about hotsprings, and a fight... oh... Kanda and Allen answer, so they fight. =P
Now that you mention it, that makes sense. I'm Chinese, too. I kind of want to know exactly which characters are used in Chinese. There are plenty of characters that sound the same. Rinali's name in general doesn't sound like a Chinese name. Na li doesn't seem like a common name. At first I was thinking Li Na, but then that would be strange the way her name is set up.
...Maybe she changed it after coming to Europe? (On that note, does Komui's name sound Chinese at all?)
