I don't think so - the job of protecting Cross belonged to Rabi, Allen, and Rinari (and later Miranda), not Bookman (the other general was protected by Kanda & friends).

Well, as long as Bookman is exorcist he must protect Generals anyways, even if his main job is other.
Although... Bookman has told Rabi that they have to remain neutral for the sake of their information-collecting. Unless he disobeys his own rules, I don't know if he'd fight for the General's life (his own, maybe) - but I could be remembering that scene wrong.

Yeah, because Rabi has become friends with everyone - but Bookman said that their job is to record history or whatever. (Which is odd, considering that they're exorcists instead of regular guys.)

This thread has it's new meaning - almost everyone died after all....
So, while question remains (there are still Allen, Linalee, Cross, Bookman, Miranda and that otehr general), i have a question to you all: should be talk here or create another thread woith another appropriate poll?
(holy shit, half a year passed...)
Technically, we don't KNOW if Kanda/Krory/Lavi/Chaoji are dead yet. Still, I think the next one will be Cross or Allen (and Allen won't stay dead if he dies). On the more permanent side, I'm still betting on Bookman (although now that we've seen Cross pwnage, it'd be a good time to get rid of him).

Yeah I agree, Cross should die at some point.
As for Allen... He fails in dying, doesn't he?
Allen fails at that, yes. ^^;; Although that's really a good thing. I think Cross's death will be permanent (just like Anita's! I want to see his reaction to that), and Lenalee can find a way to bring back everyone else who just got left behind in the Ark with her super awesome magical power thingys.
