Which is better??
I think that the anime lacks a bit but the manga is awesome!

After seeing only two episodes (shame on me) i have to agree with you - it really lacks something. AS i can see the drawing style is a bit different, adn colours are less dark too. AS a result it is less surrealistic (am not sure about this word though, if it exists in english or not).
I think that it isnt gothic as it should be ,i heard that the group that is making it hasnt any expirience on gothic anime...It should be more dark less funny moreee serious!
Exactly. The topic of the story proposes action to be full of darkness, they are fighting against guys who wishes to make apocalypsis after all.
But maybe it will become more gotic later, just as i hope it to be.
aka, more blood, emoness, and passion... etc...
Challenge the World
Well, now that you mention it the manga has become more humorous than before despite what is happening at the moment and the situation that they are in. There are alot more frames of less serious expressions. Maybe I'm just imagining it.
Either way, the anime doesn't progress at the nice pace that the manga does. More action, less talking and alot more darkness would be nice in the anime.
You are right. I would call it surrealism if we were dealing with Kafka or Garcia Markes here, not DGM. I'm not against such behaviour at all, i just think that it must be limited, while in DGM now it is sometimes too much humour in serious situations. Its' level must decrease i think.
I absolutely agree.
In the anime there is la little bit of blood not like in the manga where blood spits out from everywhere ^^
Well D.gray got a shitty timeslot in Japan (like 6:30 Japan time), so I can see why they would have to edit the content a little. It's not a Primetime slot, like some of the other shounen-jump titles. And I don't think it's really all that different from the manga, though. As far as blood is concerned. My only real gripe is the animation itself. It doesn't look as far out and interesting as it does in the manga. It even looks sloppy and badly drawn in some parts. It might get better in the future eps, but It's not going to stop me from watching.
Ha ha... The anime sucks. The first 3 episodes were pretty good, but after that it's pretty much half-assed, and pales in comparison with the manga by far. >_<
I have some friends who don't read manga but love watching anime. Therefore, the dgray anime is how they got introduced to dgray aaaaand.... They don't like the anime, and they pretty much shove off any dgray-stuff I bring their way. It's a poor introduction to the series for non-dgray readers. I'm pretty sure that if you haven't read the dgray manga, the anime wouldnt tickle your fancy either.
