Thread: An Interforum Graphics Tournament.

I'm wondering if you guys would be interested in a graphics tournament with members from a bunch of different forums. I've organised a few before so I know how it goes. Since summer is coming up, more people will have the time to participate and whatnot so this is a pretty opportune time to have one.. if you guys are interested.

If a significant number of you are interested, the tournament will expand and you'll be able to compete against a huge number of artists.

Please respond with your thoughts and let me know if you all are interested. I'm trying to create a unique opportunity for anyone and everyone interested in graphic design to test their skills by, like I said, bringing members of a bunch of different forums together and letting them compete against each other.

heh. well, if you're posting a GFX tournament, you need to post the specs of the pieces being entered. is this an LP tourney? is it a sig tourney? or is it something else entirely?

Each round will be themed and the requirements will vary. Some rounds will be signature rounds, some may be poster rounds. You may be expected to blend, filter, etc. It'll test versatility as well as technical skill.

How many members are you planning to get together in total?

So far, there has been a lot of interest. I haven't opened registration for the tournament yet but I opened registration for judges two days ago and I've received 25 applications so far. Based on that, I'd say a really large number of people are planning on participating.

hmm... i guess i could judge. im an art student, so i guess i'd have more to offer than many...
