Thread: Not a debate, I need information

Hello boys and girls I'm back and I am in a bit of a bind. For those of you read my essay on the love triangle you know that I am working on a comprehensive summary of the emotional and romantic profiles of some of our lead characters. Meanwhile, I was having a little debate with in my friends youngstars87 and Bongani in the "Oh Rukia Oh Orihime" when the following hit me.

You know after I wrote that I got a thinking. If I really want put together a comprehensive summary of the characters then I really needed to get a consenesus from the fans so new people can get a feel for what the general fan base feels, or in other words I needed to know why fans like one pairing and dislike another. As of right now this is hard for me to do as someone that really doesn't have an opinion either way. I can't, with any kind of empirical certainy, say why people like Ichigo/Rukia etc. I can argue where the manga is going in the terms of romance, but I can't speak for all of you guys. This is where you guys come in so I hope you will indulge me, i really need to find out why people like Ichigo and Rukia together or Renji/Rukia or Rukia/Inoue Etc. This thread is for the purpose of information. I am looking to gather as much data as possible.

THis is what I am looking for.

Tell me why you like the pairing, I don't need chapter citations or the odds of them getting together. i want your personal opinion about why you like one pair and why you disliike another pair.

Example,

I like Ichigo and Rukia because.......

I like Renji and Rukia because.....

I don't like Ichigo and Inoue because.......

You get the picture

Don't bash others opinions its not needed. There are another threads for that. It's dumb and it doesn't get me the information that I need. Say anything that makes you lean towards one character or character pairing. I will do my best bring that all together in the end.

I am looking for as much empirical data as possible, but when you come in the thread say "I like (fill in the blank)" and leave it at that, it doesn't help me. I need your reasons. so PLEASE don't do that. If you don't want to give your reasons. That's ok. Don't come into the thread but if you do, take the time to think about why you like your favorite pair and write it down for me.

As a final note the greater the sample size the better the results especially if we avoid those type of mistakes that alot of empirical studies make. If you read a summary of someone else has made about a particular pairing and really like what they said. Quote and say me too, or something to that effect. That's ok. that is something I can work with.

When it is all said an done I am hoping to get between 100 and 200 people on here to vote. I dont' know if we have enough I may have to go to other forums. When i feel that I have a enough information i will put it in my summary under some sort of fan heading.

P.s I will try to be online as much as my studying will permit to answer any questions though it seems pretty clear cut to me.

Note: the more detailed te better I am really trying to get a feel for your reasoning which hopefully will translate into my summary. Don't be a afraid to let the words fly.

And remember, tt's your favorite pair you don't have to justify. But tell me why you like them, do you relate to them? do you find yourself in their situation? Do like girls that are alot older then you? Does Ichigo remind you of someone that you dated in hight school? (poor you if he is)

My, that was a long post.

I like Ichigo and Orihime. They seem like the more natural pair. I mean, besides the age diffrence, Rukia already seems to have an undecided relationship with Renji. It's like Ichigo's the fighter and Orihime is his support. Orihime has really already made her feelings clear (to us at least), and it would kind of blow for her to get shot down.

it is but for some unknown reason they moved it here. A lot of good its going to do me here

Well i sometime skim through the Bleach subforum, and im sure there is a discussion about the love triangles.

So my guess is that one of the three moderators for that section tried moving it to the moderator bin... But failed.

I suggest you find the thread im refering too, and copy and paste everything you said there.

Well, I wish the moderaters would read what i wrote because i am looking for information and it needs to be in that sub-forum to get to the people that need to see it. It doesn't do me any good in here

Try actually reading, and then acting out what i said, rather than being a complete idiot and ignoring what i said. I'll be monitoring you for future stupidity.
