Urr yes, well, heres some of my art. I'm desperate to improve my drawings so crit is more than welcome. Especailly free hand as I'm generally good at copying. And I can almost never resist the urge to go over pencil drawings in biro, if I havent done them in biro to begin with.


Rough sketch done in pencil then gone over in biro. Urr not too sure whats happened but shes asleep or something. She is lacking an arm but as you may guess from the other, I'm not to hot with arms/hands

The main thing I can suggest for improving on arms and hands is to study/observe them and keep drawing them. Observing will do you nothing if you don't draw the same thing repeatedly. You might also want to take note of their proportions to the overal figure as well.

For the hands, try drawing mitten hands first. Get the general shape of the hand first. One you've gotten the shape, then convert the mittens to fingers.

I say this a lot but: pick up some anatomy books, get a couple (each by a different artist) and maybe get a book on fantasy characters (anatomy or otherwise).

try using rough shapes to define the body or a simple skeleton structure...ahh god, I should really just make an image with what I mean...anyway, if I get time i'll show you what I mean about using rough shapes or simple skel.

My suggestion is to keep your lines smooth and flowing. I think your drawings are fine, but the rough lineart is distracting.

smoother and lighter lines, but i dunno about biro since i nvr use biro =)

also don't rush in improving, it'll come to you =)
