Thread: Manga Ideas

This is where I'll be posting ideas for mangas and you'll comment on them.

I'm thinking about making one about marching bands, and high school life.

so is it going to have a definitive plot or just random things throughout the chapters?

I don't know much about marching bands but I do know that for any band sound is important. It might work as an anime but I doubt you have work force to acomplish that. Even if you do unless you are sure that you will be good enough to profit from it I wouldn't do it.

well mangas about wieder things have been successful you should try drawing a pilot chapter and circulate it to see how people react. And if the general opinion is positive I say go for it.

You and the band geeks better be careful about double posting, cause a good amount of people here don't like that...especially when you do it at the beginning of a thread you created with nothing but a few sentences.

if i made a manga it would be school based and like FLCL mixed with Milk Junkies mixed with the home and school parts of Bleach... hot women, apathtic heroes insane female costar and super horny retarded parents... oh yeah.

WELL, i plan about aming manga like.... ummmmm... like fighting tournaments sort of things.... and the mainstay is like a big jerk.... but as time passes he soon realizes his true potenial as a fighter.....

should i start the DBZ comparisons or are you going to continue being revoltingly unoriginal???

My ideas for manga are usually around history or mythologies, if that helps you any. Or (ancient) civilisations.

That way it's always kinda original? Because the scope is far and wide. Failing that, make your own world and your own rules. Although that's probably because I <333 S22 RPGs... teehee...

Think of audience? shoujo? shounen? Shoujo means less surroundings and more people usually but screentone abuse; shounen's more realistic and lots of landscape and stuff, so think about it. But then again, this thread is more about ideas than anything...

Sorry for rambling or not making sense but this seemed like an interesting thread so...

nothing's really that original anymore, art imitates life which imitates art right back. just do something you find fun.
