After the author spend so much time to introduce Rafaela, I think it is quite possible for the creature to be more than a stupid beast, especially since most of the awakened are quite intelligent.

Wow, Claymore goes a long way in the predictability department. I really wouldnīt count in his death so early on in the time skip and by a newly revealed "stripe" of Claymores no less.
As usual Claymore is merciless with itīs characters, especially the ones with any amount of honor or good will or any kind of positive trait.
But people have to realize that Isley was killed solely by attrition, the Abyssal Eaters kept attacking and attacking despite their combat inferiority that they eventually wore him off and managed to finally kill him after quite some time.
If Riful was targeted by the Abyssal Eaters, not only does her Abyssal form is much more suitable to fight a large number of opponents at the same time, sheīs also much better at moving at great distances with great speed. Thatīs why the organization are using Alicia and Bess, the Awakened duo to kill her.
I cant believe Isley is dead... He was so cool... :'(
I believe there is rarely that much mourning for any other human eating monsters (from humans)
yeah, I'm disappointed Isley is gone so soon. He was an interesting character and was kind of detached in a way as well, so he could offer a different perspective.
I would like to know why Isley split up with Pricilla and Raki. Was it just to spare them from the attack of the monster eating drones, or something else?
