Well I think Renee's going to escape after she does awaken Luphiela. She did say she doesn't want t get caught between the fight of two monsters. And yes she will awaken the monster, she's held by the throat by Riful.
But Renee makes it seem like she can awaken the Luphiela monster instantly, is that what's going to happen?
Rubel is a spy sure and was Miria's informant, but I actually didn't understand what was going on with Claire's conversation with him...
Basically, Rubel's just telling them that he wants them dead if it helps slow down the Organization's research on awakened/partially awakened beings. The only reason he gave Miria the information about the war in the first place was just to get rid of her, and possibly any other partially awakened beings. He's giving them the information about Riful, and her plans in the hopes that Clare and company get themselves killed in the battle.
Yes, I know this sounds ridiculously redundant, but bear with me. It took a while to understand that whole conversation.
on contrair I already understood this on my first reading. It's a fact that Rubel's a spy from the mainland and the appearance of partially awakened beings (who have the potential to be controlled awakened beings) are quite a threat into tilting the balance for the organization. With this mind Rubel plans to cut the problem before it starts so she starts sending the half awakeneds into really hard missions. Now he hopes that they go to Riful with the mind set of saving Reene or foiling Riful's plans and die in the process. So in reality the existence of Rubel is really in a way more threatening for the warriors of the north rather than the organization.
^But now I am confused. Thats what I thought as well, but I donīt understand how the conversation could be hard to follow...
Are there other interpretations? Somestimes the translations differ quite a bit...
Hahah beats me, I only read one translation ^^
