Post Teresa - Offensive or Defensive?

The name should be clear enough. All the claymores are either an OFFENSIVE or DEFENSIVE type. Which of course makes me wonder...What about Teresa?

I do not recall any instance that they have stated if Teresa was either an Offensive or Defense type claymore.

It's hard for me to say. I thought up she could be a Defensive type becuase of her specialty to note the movements of Youma energy...But clare has that too and she's an offensive type.

    So what do you think?

Teresa = Offensive or Defensive Type Claymore?

Well I bet defensife. I persume so by analogy to Galatea. Teresa surpasses by far both Clare and Galatea in field of yoki sense. Galatea surpasses Clare. Ergo it is logical but not necessairly right to assume Teresa was same type as Galatea - defnesive.

I vote for defensive as well. It's a good question, and should be answered. It might be that the Org. has a solid idea here, but due to the fact that Clair chose to attack vs. defend, she can't pull most/all of Teressa's power... and that meaning that she was a "failure." Currently the only powerfull ones we have seen (and still have managed to stay alive, and aren't partly awoken) are the defensive type. There is also the option of Teressa choosing offence (she does seem to like to fight a lot) and then finding it to easy, so she decided to try mastering the opposet element...

To me it is offensive, I base this on her personality as a child, sure it was not a super early childhood personality we witnessed but it is a good show of how eager and sure footed she was, something relative to an offensive type in my mind.

I couldn't see her as someone who wanted to protect herself over cutting and killing the enemy, if only for the shear simplicity and enjoyment of it.

I would say offensive too, but with her I would say the line between offensive and defensive is quite thin. But considering that she can do mostly what every offensive type can do (speed, agility, strength etc) I would class her as that.

Before meeting Claire, Teresa was quite an abrasive person. Although no one can truly say, based on her personality I would guess offensive.

    Perhaps she's evenly balanced maybe?

I agree with your statement on the line being thin Elcura. I looked at it this way: it was stated that your type is chosen based on if you wanted to attack the yoma or save yourself. What would happen if a child actually chose (instead of themselves) to that they would rather protect everyone else, and not attack the yoma? I think that this might of been Teressa's choice and thus her unique abilities, and why she's a defensive. Pure speculation so feel free to flame away.

Teresa didn't give two shits about anyone, she was in all respects a spoiled and gifted child that did whatever she pleased, that was pointed out in the flash back and the way she would clean her sword by purposely flinging the blood on villagers. She would taunt the villages with tales of being destroyed by Yoma, bytch was cold and on the offensive imo.

She's offensive. If she were defensive, she would have regenerated her head after Priscilla cut it off and been like, "AYE BITCH, THAT FUCKING HURT, NOW GET UR BITCHASS OVER HERE SO I CAN SPANK IT!!!!"

There are some good arguments for Teresa to be offensive, but this one is absurd... She was not Alucard! In Claymore beheaded = dead. Period.
