One word about fact that no one actually found the second continent I'd like to say. (Shit, Yoda talk truned on...)

Whatever. It is said that those who returned found nothing. But you know, the true discovery of new land is not to set a foot on it but also bring that foot back home... I belive that we can safely assume that anyone who had enough luck to sail in right direction for a right amount of time was simply killed/sunk with the ship. Even now ships happen to have accidents and in the past it was not so surprising for some to never return.
Poles say: We are sorry that our president is an idiot. We didn't vote on him.

On a side note, who is to say that thoes who did actually find something were even allowed to come back? They might have figured that they were better off in the "new" world, their ship could have been confiscated, they might of been put to death as spies, or the Orginization could have a blockade out to sink any ships that wander to far. In any of these cases the people and ships were probably given up as "lost at sea" and presumed dead after a year or two.

@Liarfather: You beat me to it.

The organization has HUGE control over the land.
For starters they have the fear factor. there's a youma in the neighborhood, who do you call? ? yep, you guessed it: Youma Busters!
Second they are stinking rich. killing youma costs more than most villages can afford. Money = Power. There is no time, no world, where if there is either of these 2 is there, the equation isn't.
And then there was that little piece, before the war of the north: the orphans. They take the boys to the north for slaves and the girls to the organization, to become Claymores. It's like an automatic process, the organization never has to ask for anything, they just take it, and there is no one, who even thinks this is wrong. (Not mentioning Rabona, because they are against supernatural being in general, not the organization.)

On another note. Answer me this: all the ships that have ever left returned empty handed, the organization has no records of the "other" land, there is no one who knows about it's existence, so how does Miria know so much about it's inner conflicts?

Man, I am just happy that after two months they FINALLY release another chapter. I think the break was the best thing for this manga and the author.

I agree, this chapter only helps unsure a longer lifespan for the series, if anything the auther has expanded the we readers have of the ckaymore universe

I enjoyed the chapter. It was interesting and it really expanded the the world and the scope of the possibilities the story can now turn. But in my honest opinion the way the chapter was executed was subpar.

    spoiler starts here:

Miria's hypothesis just seems so unrealistic for someone who has 2 pieces of information 1) knowledge of a town that knows nothing about Yoma and 2) the Claymore swords.

Didn't any of you find it just a tad far fetched for her to deduce from these pieces of information such an theory as epic as other worlds, continents, wars, a dragon race and the present land being laboratory for Yoma?

It's a good theory, but its written as if she knows it all. I mean other continents is reasonable theory, but to make hypothesises about a dragon race and a long on going war? I quote from Miria's words, "then a theory drifted into my head...".

What do you guys think? I enjoyed the chapter more than most, but honestly the dramatic manner in which Miria explained her theory was as if it was true fact. But according to the chapter the only sources of this theory were the isolated town and the claymore blades! I mean, comeon!

Let me produce an analogy and illustrate how ridiculous her ability to deduce so much from so little is:

Mr Miriana: 'Man, the Great Wall of China was made from stones not found on this land... they must come from an extraterrestrial planet inhabited by aliens from a solar system far far away!! Moreover, these aliens are not at peace! There are in fact 2 races: a grotesque evil race called the Zerg and another called the X'elnaga! We Earthlings are just the test subjects of the X'elnaga to create the ultimate race to defeat the Zerg! OOoo!!! What a conspiracy theorist I am!

Mrs Galatea: "But what proof do you have?"

Mr Miriana: The stones! They're not from this land!!

    Everyone: OMG!!

Am I missing something or do people agree that her ability to deduce all that she did was ridiculous?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the chapter. What are your thoughts?

    Waj

    LOL! OWNED!!!

well there are a lot of hints in the story from the very beginning even Theresa gave a snide remark (Towns that doesn't pay gets attack by Youmas).

I guessed some of these but I didn't expect the whole "Experimental Island" part XD. I thought the organization was just using the youmas to keep their towns in check. The income is just an extra bonus ^^
