Personally, I don't think that we can say for sure that we know who Miata was talking about though, since there was an A.B. there as well. What lead them straight to Galatea was Clarice's questions about odd people who could be blind. Also the quote from Miata is "The smell of a strong Claymore is here," which to me, states some sort of overdeveloped natural ability and not Yoki reading which seems to be more of a sixth sence type deal. As an A.B. was at one point a regular Claymore, it could be a simple miscalculation on her part (it may seem a bit of a stretch but if you have two simular scents, you can get them confused).

I'll get back to you on some other reasons that I don't think Galatea scenced them a bit latter when my internet connection decides to be stable.

They said Miata's ability was heightened senses, the combination of which gave her a sixth-sense esque ability. Sixth sense being a loose term because there are technically a lot of senses, like feeling pain and knowing where your body parts are in the dark.

argh how can galatea heal her eyes without inflict another wound to them???if some of you has forgotten they cannot heal an would that closed, even though Clare and Ilena was an attack type, but the rule must be the same for all of them.
soo most likely the wound not appearing must be an error.

Actually, you can't reattach a limb if the wound has sealed, there's nothing that indicates you can't regenerate a limb, or in this case a eye, if the wound has healed.

Even Raphaela could regenerate her eye if she wanted to and she was an offensive type. Like Ziggy said, you can't reattach a limb once the wound has closed up but you can regrow a totally new one regardless of state.

The wound not appearing is simply because he couldn't draw it in with the LoD the frame had in it. Basically if it's an odd angle where the scarring would look stupid or if it's far away enough that all you see are the eyes then what need does he have to draw the scar?

I don't really buy this because on the last spread, the left side, she is taking up a quarter of a page.

But to top it off she has her eyes closed. Why? She has her blank eyeballs showing most of the time. She closes them a few times in reflection/scanning for youki or in pain. But what kind of justification is there for that final frame she's in?

For it to actually look good. The last frame was meant to show Galatea's calm in a situation where she could have easily died, the focus was on not what was on her face but how she looked overall. I bet the mangaka tried both, with scar and without and decided at the end of the day without the scar looked better.

Either that or he was coming close to deadline and didn't have time to keep drawing an itty, bitty scar on Galatea, which probably takes a while.

if u look at galatea throughout the chapter, there a few panels where she was shown without her scar. So i think the mangaka just neglected to draw it in.

I think she purposely blinded herself so she can heighten her senses much like how people claimed that their other senses became sharper once they became blind.

It's not like she can't regrow a part or two if necessary. She's defensive iirc. Anyway, as for her sensing the others... The Seven might be good enough to suppress youki from long-range detection, but a) Galatea is very close and b) she's just that damn good. Between those two, I'm not surprised... and iirc, she didn't feel blind before the fight started. Maybe she can pick things up even for normal humans?
