Actually, I thought it was more along the lines of "Errr, we're supposed to ki...Actually...God, how the .... did I get into this?"

well anyway it was a pretty helpless, clueless expression xD I wonder how Galatea would handle 3 enemies xD hmm I hope there will be some twist like Clare suddenly arriving for some reason now that would be a sight.

Besides, I suspect that Clarice is feeling more confused than scared on that one. Imagine this - you were just the last-call newbie, no one asked you to do more than kill 1 or 2 weak youmas, and you were thinking that maybe, in 5 years or so, you could do 3 at once... and then you get to be the handler of a crazerina who can solo entire gangs of youmas or go toe-to-toe with awakened beings. Oh, and now you have to take down a former high-rank who doesn't even need to see you to tell you how much of a newblet you are, and you get a high-level awakened being come on stage. If you ask me, anyone with 2 functional brain cells would ask themselves: "Okay, what the .... am I doing here?"

I second this, while in that situation it would be wise to run the fuck away Clarice should at least be trying to convince Miata to fight the Awakened Being. If that doesn't happen next chapter then Clarice goes into my "Most Usless Characters" box.

Even Claire, at rank 47 (and arguable very weak) went in full force to whatever Awakened encounter she could...

It's OK, Clarice will realize that she's screwed, then go SSJ4 and kill agatha, then just as she's about to capture Galatea, Mewtwo comes in and kills Clarice and saves Galatea. Galatea escapes and the organization continues their search. I dunno what happens to Miata. She just disappears without an explanation

or maybe fuse with Miata then get turned into a chocolate or something

Neh the problem is that Clarice realizes that she's screwed but she still wants to challenge Galatea. It's just like a football match I tell you, the "unite against a common enemy" goal is absent and they're tackling their own team mates. Miata tackled and tripped her own defender (Galatea) and tried to score an own goal. Clarice, being the team captain, did not do a good job in leading her own team and even argued with the referees (Galk and Syd) that her team is kicking the ball in the right direction. Agatha, on the other hand, is running side by side with Miata and constantly tries to tackle Galatea whenever she has the chance. The final straw is when the team's defender (Galatea) did a red card action by throwing a referee (Galk) at her own striker (Miata). Now, one can tell the direction where this match is heading...

Aww, I was hoping for a penalty shootout :P But yeah, by the looks of it Agatha can just sit back and munch on some popcorn - or in her case, guts. Can you imagine her taking up a body for a snack as she enjoys the show*?

*: actually, I can't either, this would be more of a Riful thing. Agatha looks like she will start preening and acting nonchalantly dismissive while she's following every move, pretentious biddy that she is.

I haven't really acknowledged her enough to put her there. This could be epic fail though.

I don't think Clarice will continue to be useless in the next chapter though... I hope. Maybe Syd or anyone would lecture her about something then a change of heart, if not then they're all definitely dead meat =(.
