lol keep on reading... Claymore like MPD psycho is just a shonen on the paper. maybe someone in japan misjudged it as a shonen. it should be a seinen, so you're too young to read it anyways
the series will get better. the first 10 chapters didnt caught me either, but and i kept on reading the series got more and more awesome.

Thanks for the feedback, I have read farther than the first ten chapters, I just couldn't remember exactly how far 8/... I'll read more claymore. the only thing that threw me off the series was that that opening for a story has been waaaaaaaaaay over used. It's nice to know that a shounen has like-able aspects. (I stopped reading shounen last year because every shounen I read started seeming childish, naruto, bleach (although i still read the manga), black cat, d. grayman, ect.

I originaly made this topic because i felt it might have a use for people other than my self. On other sites and this one I have heard people complain about claymore so I figured "hey... what the heck, if they can convince me and other people to read a good manga then where is the harm in that?" I just didnt want to waste my time downloading and reading if it didn't get better. I didn't really much like the early replies basicly calling me dumb for asking a question, asking is how you learn......

I can't belive you mention D.Gray-Man as being childish as Naruto, Bleach, and god forbid, Black Cat. >_< It's getting better. But ANYWAYS, Claymore isn't a manga that stops changing, or gets repetitive, I've found. It's one of the few manga that grows even more interesting and complex as time passes without growing tedious or confusing. It's very well-written.

This kills me because its so hard to keep track of everyone. Some people die two chapters after they're introduced and by the DOZEN. Makes it very hard to distinguish. Although I do love the rampant misandry. =)

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.

I second this. Even the main characters can die along with their companions. Unlike the usual manga where all the good guys tend to survive all odds and avoid being killed off, its unpredictable as to who will die next adding realism to the series. It also has a good balance of whats known to the readers and what isn't. Most the time when I've read it, I couldn't help but feeling the need to know more about what was going to happen next. Interesting manga series.

I agree with this. A lot of the characters they introduce are just numbers to me, though a select few do get some pretty decent character development
