Thread: Is it fun being Claymore ?

Theoretical Plot :

Your just a human and your whole village was killed by Yoma's -then one guy in black comes to you and say he can make you become a Claymore -super strong being with silver hair...

Would you accept your offer ? And why ?

For example, I would most likely refuse such offer - unless I would have some great disire to kill all Yoma, I would consider it...but still refuse.

I would accept even if a Yoma didn't come a kill my village. Having a Claymores power would be amazing, I would embrace that.

If I was asked just after Yoma assault I would probably agree - out of hatred. If after some time passed - probably no.

Having to suffer for years, and then (if you didn't die before the end) be used like a dog until death without the right to do as you please.. no , thanks.

If (as most humans) I didn't know about the lives of Claymores and accepted to become one, I would make sure to train and then wipe out as much of the organization as I could :P

I agree with this. I wouldn't be one.

Hell yes. Life in a village seems pretty boring... Sure, you suffer and you're used, but it'd be a more interesting life than what anyone else would have (unless you actually work for the organization in another way). It may not be fun... but I'd take the offer.

I'm not sure if they would take in someone who shows that much resilience into becoming one for out of fear that the said claymore grows up and become a hassle to deal with. Rather they get their goods from kids, why kids? Because they are easy to manipulate and when you feed them with brainwashing parenting from early age I'm sure the end result is almost absolute loyalty. Slaves, run aways, war orphans they all have something in common. That they have no places to live, no place to run for support (not that the org gives them any support from the looks of things), and no place to feel at home. The organization takes in these kids because they just basicly have nowhere else to go and lead a doomed life anyway. In those age and days I doubt if your the only survivor of a yoma attack, among the very few surviving humans from a civil war or other wars and provided your a 8~10 year old child theres a very likely chance you'll die soon after anyway. Bad things happen to young girls and even worse things might happen to young boys. If they consider their options slavery might not be so bad afterall than starving to death, being eaten up by feral animals, cannabalistic humans and yoma party, getting raped by grown men (Regardless of your gender).

I'm confused if thats the life you would want to lead as opposed to making a contract with the devil by becoming the organization's agents. As for me, logically speaking I'd be distressed obviously and because I don't know any better at the time I probably would have agreed to joining the organization.

I believe if one was to decide between slavery or possible salvation + given powers to protect humans so orphans won't have to exist then I might take up the sword even if knowing the end result will be death. If you look at it, you're life ended the moment you became an orphan. As a Claymore, its not that you can't do as you please, I'm sure they were given money (and from looks of things quite abit of it) to spend it however they see fit to spend them on whatever they really want. Downside is, you really are expected to take your job seriusly and you can't really settle down unless the organization gave you a special pardon for laying low like they did with Raphaela. It's not a bad life as opposed to other options as an orphan and in the mind of a 10 year old with no solid way of surviving in the cruel world where money talks.

The immortality part is pretty nice, and you don't even really need contact with human civilization to live (with the low food and water intake and everything).

And as long as you have a way to hide who you are (like the pills), it can't be too problematic.
